I love our Qettle tap (albeit 3x the price!). Best thing ever
Breville hot cup kettle is near instant compared to a normal kettle and one mug at a time, mine was £35 had 2 one lasted 6 years and i would never use a normal kettle again, i would not buy this in place of my kettle
I bypassed the filter too. Love it, so convenient.
If you dont get the caustic soda mixture concentration right and you can have nice cake of soda crystals in your drain.....dont need to worry about that with these gel type cleaners.
B&Q too, but £6.84 for 1Kg https://www.diy.com/departments/max-strength-caustic-soda/5020042003178_BQ.prd
Gel unblockers are easier to use as they tend not to spit and I think they work better on hair plughole blockages as the gel will cling to hair hanging out the water where it is tangled in the plughole and cable operated plug mechanisms. Caustic soda crystals are cheaper and I think work better than gels/liquids on fat blockage due to the stronger Sodium hydroxide concentration and all the heat generated when the crystals react with water.
Do I have to pay £15.00 on top to join just to buy this?
Seems to have gone up slightly to £67.99 but still an excellent deal
Great tap this - have in kitchen and plumber said one of best taps he had installed (surprised given price point). The unbranded bargain tap I got for the utility sink at half the price got described as a piece of cr*p so bought one of these last time on offer at Costco but still in loft awaiting install.
If this is one of the deals starting Monday, you might like to add the "end" date - 3 weeks I think.
Yup. Same as last time it was posted. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/grohe-ambi-two-handle-kitchen-sink-mixer-tap-3558276

I dunno why Brit plumbing would change after Fuxit. No, it’s Portuguese plumbing to be specific. Leaves a hell if a lot to be desired sadly! On the plus side, standing in dilute sulphuric acid for several minutes stopped my trainers stinking and left the mop Beth clean indeed.
The plunger is for sinks mate and it’s £2.
I'm pretty sure a paper straw from McDonald's would be more effective. And less likely to cause you to loose an eye.
Don't waste your money, get one of these and they will be a good future investment. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Inflatable-Junnom-Multifunctional-Pressure-Unblocker/dp/B082CVM242/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=Toilet+Plunger+Pressure&qid=1618361645&sr=8-16 works 100% to unblock drains. *note becareful how much pressure you use start really low and always read the manual to the max pressure you should use.* Also i use this to block my toilets over the years and always works. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Marksman-Professional-Unblocked-Drainage-Unblocker/dp/B08RXFCT7F/ref=sr_1_63?dchild=1&keywords=drain+unblocker&qid=1618361800&sr=8-63 this is what the professionals use. you just need 1 of the rods and the flat plunger the rest is for the garden drains that i never used. One of the best purchases I have ever bought.100% well worth it, bought them years ago and never needed anything else. you dont have to get the ones in the link, im sure you can find them cheaper if you look but this is the type you want.
Great deal. Nice fit for my 1.9 tdi with 360k miles on the clock.
Heat added for the deal, but thanks for bringing back memories of owning a Multipla. The only car I know that had the oil drain plug on the lowest part of the car. The Mrs. hit a speed bump and of course the oil drain plug decided to rip part of the sump off and leave a long trail of oil along the road and a seized engine. I couldn't blame her as there where 2 other cars in front that had done the same thing!
One ring to find them
It must be quite small if it fits in a Polo.
You can just buy the washer and replace that for about 50p
My Triton Kito has just gone. Would this be a good replacement?
Great price - got 2 of these - great showrs
Good little shower. I've got this exact one, Installed it 5 or 6 years ago when the old one failed after more than a decade. It's a straight swap with these Triton showers so no pipes, tiles needing altered. I'm keeping an eye out for the black one on a deal, it'll look good against the slate colour tiles. 8.5kw isn't powerful to many but it does fine for our family. Our wiring won't support anything more powerful atm.
+ screwdriver. I had copper pipped tap so used pipe cutter, pipe saw, isolating valves, and sandpaper.
Did everyone who DIY fitted this use a Basin Wrench and 2 x adjustable spanners? What was the tool list you all used? Thanks!
good reviews and easy instructions .brought 1 tx
I bought it about a week ago, before it got the discount >.< But yeah have to agree, with above Easy to DIY, the pipes are not UK standard but it comes with adaptor so nothing to worry about. As for the flow it's reduced but it works out for me as it helps to reduce water waste so I'm all for it. Lastly it's pretty tall and you can see it flex the sink which I was worried about at the start but after using it for a while it's not bad as long as you don't try to man handle it when swiveling it around.
Got this and another spring looking mono bloc taps done as a diy last year. Relative novice but got it done. Note this is euro spec 3/8 flexi pipe but has a 1/2 to 3/8 fitting included. House has really good water pressure but did notice this had reduced the flow, unlike the other one installed that was straight 1/2 flexi pipe. Best thing about this is that the height just clears my Brita so can swivel it around and fill.
My son collected his Estwing hammer today along with other reduced bargain goodies, he's an apprentice and his fellow work colleagues all wanted that hammer.... Whats so special about this hammer ? If it was a watch I could understand, but a hammer...?
Me too 😞
Lucky buggers! I really wanted the estwing hammer
Collected my haul today. Guys in shop said it was like black friday. They hadn't even been notified of the sale prices so had no clue wtf was going on.
Picked mine up yesterday. Even the guy behind the counter was like you've got a real bargain there!
In practical terms, I have "suffered" with this type tap for a few years. Now I have this. Much happier now :D
Any good deals on basin taps anywhere, need to replace mine :p

These parts are common across the range, and will be available for years. You could always pre-empt and buy a couple of washers and cartridges...
Buy a spare cos when the rubber goes in the flexi no way will you find parts a year+ down the road
Wow that's not a good looking tap! good price so heat added
These are normally standard fittings. If you have any different your plumber should be able to sort that out. Distance is usually standard too. As long as you’re not going from electric to this you be fine.
You should eb ok. To be sure measure center to center on the pipes at the wall, then go to the Mira website and find the technical spec and you will see the center to center of the shower pipes. From memory it is usually 150mm but Icheck it out.
The simple answer is no. You can buy plugs to stuff in the tank unions that will stop the water flow. Many plumbers just use a rag.
Also, I cannot find any isolation valves on any pipework in between the hot water tank and the shower. (new build cost skimping, grrr) Am I right in thinking that we'd need to turn off the main stopcock and then run all the hot water out of the tank to be able to do the replacement?
This is a total beginner question but the thermostatic shower we have needs replacing. It's a rear fed aqualisa bar, similar in looks to this, but don't know which model. Is this likely to fit with the existing pipe placement? I've no idea if the rear feed attachments are usually a standard width apart or if they vary. Need to replace shower without retiling!

That is why I said 1/4 of a turn which is about 1.5cms of thread on an 18mm pipe. What do you think?
You undo the tap, not the nut, on stuck ones. Wedge whatever spanner in then knock the tap around. You do the same to get them secure - fix at 90deg to the right then tap them around into position. Box spanners are great for fitting over the spout for extra leverage. Always reuse the brass backnuts if you've got a choice between plastic and brass.
Capillary action must help?
Looks like one of those tools for extracting teeth (horror) tooth key although I'd sooner use a box spanner. :D
I get your point & WD40 is a great product but it doesn't defy gravity ;) However, you are correct if the cause is right at the bottom of the nut.

I think it's the cheapest available if youre not keen on eBay
Useful product. Bought the 8m one a few years ago and could unblock cast iron downpipes that were completely blocked solid with soil, roots, and corroded metal fragments.
If you don't need 15m, Cleanstore has the 8m version for £19.99 + approx £5 postage. They also sell a regraded 15m version but its currently oos. cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=13716
Marty your link doesn't mention what pressure washer brand it will fit ????
Plenty of quality cheaper alternatives on Amazon or EBay eg. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07N7TJD4P/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A2CMC8IU7CLTT9&psc=1 (which can be screwed onto your standard hose).

Available in every poundshop in orange bottle. Caustic Soda has been been used for hundreds of years . Does not cause any damage to blocked or slow running pipe. Can corrode only if pipe empty and clean but I dont think anyone will use it when not needed( commonsense needed) . The junk automatically neutralises it. Enzymes are like biological washing liquid and may not even work for blocked or slow running drains . Caustic Soda solution can easily dissolve hair and fat which are main cause of blockages and work at any temperature. Stronger drain cleaners contain acids which are really dangerous but caustic soda as alkaline is not so corrosive if used correctly. https://www.onlinepoundstore.co.uk/product/easy-sink-pipe-unblocker-1-litre/?gclid=CjwKCAiAu8SABhAxEiwAsodSZJHO26PGqa8ppeME_9NOx2enkjcRulAAXGP5x3xeOVSAFsdjrOCatBoC56UQAvD_BwE
Can you give more details on your caustic soda solution mix? I've received advice against using it as it may damage pipes and sealants.
Will this work/ can i use this if i have a sink erator?
Ordered . Dont know if this will work so ordered only one . Caustic soda solution always works and cheaper at £1. Seems more like biological enzyme washing liquid.

When I check the temps of my NVMe it's never even close to needing additional cooling. Mounting it as in the picture below something like an RTX3080 is probably going to have the reverse effect and make it even warmer than it would be!
You need to add TAX on 20%
A block of aluminium with fins will likely help cool the component to which it is conductively coupled. A separate question is whether all parts of an NVME should be cooled (and I think the answer is actually no - some bits work better hotter)...
