    Plastic not metal
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 July 2023
    Style Name: Hand shower
I thought as a top brand it would be a study metal construction, but no, it’s lightweight plastic. How this fares over time I don’t know, but I am initially disappointed

Other reviews suggest leaking. Disappointed in grohe
    musssy's avatar
I have a grohe, new only installed it about 2 months ago. It continues to drip even after use and turning off from the lever. Makes no sense. My old grove, last 6 years, never had this issue

This is a spay gun for cleaning shit off your toilet pan, should have a hose that connects into your water connection,Arab countries use this method instead of shitty toilet brushes
    Mary_Mary's avatar
Lol. No it is used to clean poop and pee from your bits after using the toilet. Cleaning the actual toilet of skid marks is a bonus use

I have this from last time, it was on offer, it is plastic but very good quality, its not like a regular shower head where water will just flow out, to get waterflow you have to depress the trigger and keep it depressed, when you release the trigger the flow stops, ideal for hair wash, hose the dog down etc not suitable for a stand under shower. had it over a year, not leaked yet, and its great its plastic as i have dropped it into bath and hasn't damaged it. Can this directly replace a standard electric shower head with no problems? We've got a downstairs shower and this would be useful to wash the dog! Wouldn't want to blow something cos of back pressure say. Thanks.
    gdata's avatar
You definitely cannot use these on a regular electric shower, don't even try it !

Had mine for over two years came as part of the doche kit which I purchased on our main bathroom refurb.

Great bit of kit definitely recommend. This doche head is a quality build despite being plastic. Mines still going strong, I did however, recently descale the whole head by leaving it dipped in apple cider vinegar over night. The trigger was starting to jam on. After the descale it's as good as new. But I may purchase this at this price as a spare.

    Thanks op for sharing!

Reviews are mixed on this (ps it’s plastic not metal)

Are Grohe and Hans Grohe the same company?
    time2share's avatar
They are owned by 2 brothers. Grohe focuses on more classical design and bringing products to the masses, whereas the latter is more focused on innovation and high-end designs. You could say the latter is more Hans on!

I was up at the crack of dawn for this deal butt fell behind. On the hole, however, this is a poor deal ass it's made out of plastic - not to be too anally retentive about it mind.

You missed a bit. Hind sight is 2020

Most German shower heads are plastic to prevent damage if dropped onto a shower tray or bath. Wouldn't reccomend with electric shower and these would be used next to a wc as a bidet if no room.

    Bum deal

This product is for lazy so-and-sos who can't be asked to properly lather up and wash their hindquarters in the shower.

There is no way this product can be used without spraying water around and outside the toilet bowl, resulting in spent water (doused in ) being sprayed beyond the toilet bowl.

This product and the bidet are designed and used by people who like to delude themselves in the false pretence of taking their personal hygiene to the next level, when in reality these products' design is badly flawed.

Some like to soak themselves in their own by filling a bathtub. But the truly wise ones would lather up and wash their hindquarters in the shower.

Tell me you've never correctly used a bidet without telling me that you've never correctly used a bidet. (edited)

The Romans taught us how to clean ourselves with water after using the toilet. But when they left, we abandoned such hygiene and reverted to dry wiping. (edited)

    They used sponges on sticks.

Ahh the famous bum gun. Wonder why they arent in every household as standard?

Because we like to replace the toilet roll every day.

After visiting Turkey for many years and using their bidet toilets. We've installed one in our bathroom, put a hot and cold feed to it. Personally it's a game changer. I've always hated using just toilet paper alone. Always felt the need to shower after a number two. It's not a bum gun, it's a small nozzle built into the rim, which shoots water up your behind. The hot water mixer, makes it much more comfortable in the winter. You just use toilet paper to dry off.

Hilarious reading the comments. As soon as I saw it I’m thinking ‘Bum Gun’. Common in Asia and Middle East and yes, a game changer.
When was the last time you washed your pots properly with a dry kitchen towel?

Good deal but personally I think the ones that fit under the toilet seat are much better, saves trying to line things up. Much more hygienic then walking around with a Rorschach bum.
  30. Sphere's avatar
Hang on, you use this to wash your butt, but then your butt and everything else is soaking, so presumably then need a mop or alot of toilet paper to dry your bits?

I bet most homes that have these installed haven't conformed with Water Regs!

I bought a similar item that is used with a mixer tap it's available on ebay at half of this price made of SS and has had years of service but it does need descaling occasionally. (edited)

The thought of touching this object when somebody else has just been washing their backside with it is not very pleasant. Maybe ok in your own home or whatever but sharing, no thanks. The first place I ever saw them was in Tunisia where most toilets I encountered were absolutely rank.
