do you enjoy bending over so apple can go all the way in ?spending 500 … do you enjoy bending over so apple can go all the way in ?spending 500 quid every year for something that could be released with the better spec in the first place is so smart...I wonder how apple does it ? convinving people, that better screen and a5 cpu is worth spending money AGAIN ?

Do you really believe that Apple are the only company guilty of releasing a better version of their product every year? Really? That must-have Android phones are infrequent, and that if you buy an Android tablet today it'll be just as powerful as the best on the market in a years time? smh. Not to mention the fact that you're implying people pay £500 every year (£400 actually for most people) and just keep accumulating Apple devices without selling them on to upgrade. It has cost me £120 to get my iPad 3, updating from iPad 1. I've spent double that on my PC in the last 2 years, but that'll just be me bending over to Intel and NVidia, right? How about you bend over so that a bit of logic might find its way in.

The Sony S tablet is far better deal... I can't because anyone that … The Sony S tablet is far better deal... I can't because anyone that calls themselves frugal with their shopping would buy Apple and force themselves to be tied into iTunes for content...**SIGH*** An idiot and their money are soon parted as they say...

Yeah, it's so painful buying into the Apple ecosystem. I mean all I'm buying into is Flipboard, Tweetbot, Readability, Zite, Netflix, iPlayer, ITV and 4OD native apps, Garage band, iPhoto, iMovie, Photoshop Touch, SketchBook, Korg iElectribe, Jetpack Joyride, Temple Run, Puzzlejuice, Beat Sneak Bandit, Broken Sword, Draw Something, Solar System, The Elements, Infinity Blade I & II, Superbrothers Sword and Sworcery, Another World, World of Goo, Scribblenauts, Kingdom Rush, Plants Vs Zombies, hundreds of Newspaper/Magazine subscriptions, Kindle, Carcassonne, Ticket To Ride, Downcast, Goodreader, AppShopper, Star Walk, Dropbox, Cinemagram, Air Player, Audigalaxy and the list goes on. All native tablet apps. I feel like such an idiot. But at least you've got an SD card slot, right?

For those of you out there who are buying an iPad for the first time, use this post for some app recommendations. These are all fantastic apps. It's probably quite handy having a useful post relevant to the topic at hand, rather than trollish insults for simply wanting to buy the most useful, bang-for-your-buck tablet on the market.

its bizarre isnt it - i dont know when people forgot the english language, but in the last few years it seems nobody buys anything anymore, just keep bringing things places.

This is a fantastic price - I've been against the iPad's to date (mainly on price), but £300 is now what I would consider as being reasonable value for a functionally competent device. There is no getting away from its great responsiveness (in comparison to some of the other Android tablets I wanted to lust over more).

There are some amazing audio synths available on the iStore so I'm getting very tempted to buy into Apple for making music on-the-go. I have already bought the iPad compatible USB midi keyboard that I posted for its software.

If only Android Play had an equally good selection of audio software as the iPad has... *sigh* (but then I doubt they would run on my 2.2 Galaxy 5.0" anyway!) (edited)

Nano Studio is without doubt, THE best app I have on my iPad. Have made more music using this than 10 years on a PC. It just works!

hardware specs stopped mattering 5-6 years ago. it's all about user experience now. if you're still hung up on processor speed or memory, you've either fallen behind or are missing the point.

This is just as good as an ipad 3, You are not really going to notice the difference unless you are looking really close to the screen. (Like 1mm away lol)

If you are "Techy" get an android tablet, If you are not and want a more user friendly interface get this.
