Oooooh, so close to the sub £1000 purchase trigger point.
Had been tempted away to looking at the QD-OLEDs recently, but Samsung only handing out 1 year guarantees now. And there's never any deals on Philips ambilight OLEDs, so back to tracking LGs I suppose.
    clayts's avatar
Samsung's continued aversion to Dolby Vision crosses them off my list.

Classic, I bought this for £1,600 a few months ago came with a soundbar but not sure it's £600 worth.

Absolutely amazing TV a Which Best Buy as well. Don't hesitate, order. Great find OP

I'm waiting for £1k. I nearly bought from Vry today at £1299 with 20% back making it £1040 but it was only 12 month warranty which given I had to have my C7 panel replaced twice, did not seem enough.
    Hunterx878's avatar
Makes you think if OLED is even worth it then?
  4. stevogums's avatar
Absolute amazing price this. Got the 55 C2 and am so tempted ,however im gonna wait out the drop on the G3 for another 12 months .
    Luke_Davies's avatar
C4 uses the same screen tech, likely to find it at similar prices to the G3 in that time
  5. jcmb85's avatar
Worth an upgrade from a CX?
  6. Mattyclul's avatar
Cheaper than the deal via LG at the weekend without having to mess around with codes!

My heart sinks every time I see references to Student Beans and BLCs....
  7. NotaViking's avatar
Would probably go for it if they'd bring it up one flight of stairs, but according to the delivery info, it's ground floor only.
    Hunterx878's avatar
You could try putting a Mars Bar on a piece of string and see if they follow it up.

Why oh why would you post this deal OP.....was waiting for a drop to as close to £1k, and because there was more chance of rocking horse droppings, I was safe....and now I want to......really don't need it as Sony W839 55 has been going strong since 2015 and I so want to.......
    Jjon's avatar
Same here, my C1 55 is perfectly fine but I always wished I went for a larger screen, this is a very tempting price..
  9. Kippers's avatar
Good TV. All the concerns about screenburn seem not to affect many after all the fuss about it (although I get it's a big investment gone if it happens to you!). I don't know how Costco can sell it this cheap given the pricing in Currys and John Lewis etc is much higher. And with Costco warranty you can't go wrong!
  10. DevilsNeverCry's avatar
    Wow, what a price.

Not been keeping up much with TVs sinceI got my C1 nearly 2 years back, but that was just about £100 less than this and felt a bargain at the time!
  11. AndrewScott123's avatar
I've a 55" C1. It's a joy to watch. Only thing is I wish I went for 65" at time - so this is tempting!
  12. samjbeckett1's avatar
Just got one of these straight from LG last month for £1096 and I am very happy with it. It’s a beautiful television
  13. boabo's avatar
recently noticed burn-in on my C6 and now can't unsee it - won't buy oled again
    PopBot's avatar
7 years old tech? They are better now. I have issues with my oled I have had for five years. You tube banner from the app did mine , top right of screen , I would still buy another but would be more careful using YouTube. Apart from that it's fine.
  14. kelhaggagi's avatar
Is there an easy way to see prices without having to log in?
    clayts's avatar
Pay £15 for an online only membership. I did, in anticipation of a good deal on a new telly sometime between now and this time next year
  15. Beediebeediebeedie's avatar
Costco not delivering to NI, waste of £15 membership 🤢
    PopBot's avatar
    Maybe use a parcel hotel
  16. Leeds2000's avatar
Aggressive pricing by LG, there might be comeback from Samsung?
  17. Doomathy's avatar
My CX from Costco broke after 2 years, replaced it with the Sony mini LED instead, never looked back.
    Diabolik88's avatar
We've got a 55" CX in the master bedroom, a 55"C9 in the second bedroom and did have a 65" CX in the living room which I sold to a neighbour when we upgraded to the 77" C3 six months ago.

All bought during that one year cycle after launch and never even had a slight problem with any of them so you must have been well unlucky 🤷

Or you bricked it on purpose to get yourself a shiny new replacement on the Freddie Freemans (edited)
  18. Dusty666's avatar
Can anyone with membership see the price of the 77".
    Racorac's avatar
They only seem to have c4 of that size. £3479.98
  19. LeeWhitfield's avatar
That’s a belting price for a 65 inch. The C ranges are class. I have a 55 inch C2 which is mint. As others have said…. Go for it.
  20. dealhunter6k's avatar
Anyone wondering about software support, my C7 just notified of a software update this morning, that's 7yrs on. Knowing my luck they will be like Apple and Samsung issuing updates to break stuff so you buy a new one.

I have a LG E9 55 inch. This is the one on glass with the soundbar. Pic and sound are fantastic. Apart from the bigger size will I see a big difference with this. I believe the E9 at the time I bought it was one of the top of the range but that is now around 5 years ago.
    Crossbow's avatar
Not much, unless you are a gamer (need VRR & other gaming enhancements), use it mostly in a bright room & will have it wall-mounted - this is very slim & comes with it's own wall mount. No regular table top stand included, although a suitable generic one can be bought for only £20-30.
The sound on this is likely to be poorer, but overall-HDR brightness & colour volume / vibrancy is superior - only probaby noticeable if you had them to compare side by side.

My recommendation would be to hold on to your E9 for at least 3 years more & calibrate it to the best settings it's capable of if not already done - here's a guide rtings.com/tv/…ngs

When these become more advanced & you need the extras, it'll be a much more worthwhile & satisfying upgrade.
I have one of their earliest OLEDs from 2015, a 55" & the main aspect that tempts me to go for a newer one is a larger screen. To a lesser extent, better motion handling & smart features.
As I'm still very pleased with its picture quality, brightness & audio - it came bundled with a high-end soundbar+subwoofer. (edited)

What price would be good for the 55” C3 or G2? Seen a few deals here over the past few weeks but not a BLC holder
  23. niall71's avatar
I've ordered a Samsung Oled QE55S90C from J Lewis for £899.00, being delivered in a couple of days. Should I be cancelling it and ordering this instead?
    Hunterx878's avatar
Well this TV is 65", but honestly I would say no as the S90C is brighter, is a QD OLED so the colours are a fair bit better (and there is more colour volume). But I would say you can't go wrong with either.

    I must be happy with the 55", I don't need this🔥🔥
    Blaze2020's avatar
Had the exact same thought, but did end up ordering this anyway...
  25. dantescott's avatar
I got this on the last deal posted, turned itself off on the 2nd day and now wont turn on past the logo, spoke to support and have been waiting 3 days to get a response for a return,. looked great when it was working though but I'm weary about getting a replacement now after googling the issue.
    JazzySnake's avatar
Had an issue with my C3 65" (albeit I ordered through LG directly). I'd give then a call, I'm sure you'll get a resolution a bit faster. Costco should be replacing it sharpish, they're usually really good. (edited)

Has anyone tried to get Richer Sounds to beat this price?

Maybe if I move my desk chair back a bit I can use this on my PC desk...
    Hunterx878's avatar
That is essentially what I do. I am far back enough to have my feet up on a stool, and I use one of them portable coffee table things off of Amazon for the mouse and keyboard and I pull it in when needed. It's the perfect living room/desk hybrid set-up.
  28. taffyraptor's avatar
Still loving my B9 65 inch from a few years back. Can't see how this could be much better quality image wise. What extra does it offer? Anyone clued up in this?
    Ninzolow's avatar
    I’ve got a B8 65” and wondering the same.
