never seen ram in that configuration before - usually a power of 2 - are these sticks sort of like 16gb+8gb in one dimm ? is that a new ddr5 thing?

Yes, in order to have more RAM but also maintain the high speeds and low timings they've adopted 24GB sticks rather than the jump to 32 which have traditionally not been as quick / stable.

CAS Latency of 46, ouch, and secondary/tertiary timings of 45. 46-45-45 is slow by today’s DDR5-5600 standards.

I've not been following the prices of memory, perhaps this is a good price but, if building your own PC and so having the luxury of being picky about parts, if you can find something with a CAS Latency a lot lower than that for a bit less, maybe spend a bit more, not just because you're a competitive gamer and want some extra fps but also for bragging rights compared to a prebuilt!

    I didn't know 24GB sticks were a thing.

Not the fastest but £35 cheaper than any other 48 GB ram kit I can find. Heat.

    Wish they were 48GB each.

Timings aren't great, but decent price if you want quantity over quality

Paid this for the 64gb a few months back
