FOUND BY: skusey 1 month, 1 day ago

Cheapest by miles, this is a bargain for this phone.
The Sony Ericsson W995 is the most advanced Cyber-shot/Walkman handset Sony Ericsson have released to date and excels in both the music and imaging stakes with an array of features that will have all you technophiles out there foaming at the mouth, making the tag multimedia all-rounder an absolute understatement.

8 Mega Pixel Digital Camera
Walkman Music Player
GPS (Global Positioning System) enabled
Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate
Wi-Fi Technology
The 8.1 megapixel camera incorporates LED flash, geo-tagging, face recognition and autofocus, while the Walkman 4.0 player includes Shake control, SenseMe and TrackID, and thanks to MediaGo you can drag and drop video clips, tracks and photos between your phone and PC with consummate ease.

Compact casing gives the W995 a real feel of solidity & features such as the circular navigation pad & kickstand are some nice practical additions. The fantastic 2.6 inch screen provides clarity and colour. With so many features, the W995 is set to be a sure-fire hit.

is it locked or unlocked? Could be worth it if it's unlocked.

shame, would have been nice to use the 3 glitch sim card in this and sell the SE that came with it.

Still a good price though... heat.

it says that the PAYG phones have to be at least 12 months old.

I've done it with new phones. In fact, as far as I am aware, Vodafone don't lock their phones anymore.

They do however still put rubbish branded firmware on them.

It's only contract phones that come unlocked from Vodafone.

Martin the phones that Voda unlocked for you did you buy them from the Vodafone shop and where they PAYG ones?

It seems to be a common consensus on this site that Voda will unlock PAYG phones for free but their t+c blurb seems to contradict this however. I'm confused.

One was a contract phone and the other PAYG from Play.com.

Called with both and got them unlocked.

I also wonder as the phone is from phones4u, and as I don't believe Vodafone supplies the W995 on its network, there is every chance these will be unbranded and simply supplied with a PAYG sim card.
