my point is that for not much more you get 10 times that piece of junk

...and my point is why would I put 10 cherry shrimp in a piece of second hand rubbish of that size?!

what a piece of rubbish......you are better getting an aquarium on ebay (slight gamble maybe) but based on my experience id do it again £100 for £1100-1200 worth of Jewel vision 180 aquarium & cablinet (£480 ish alone), 2 heaters, 2 pumps, 35 fish (worth £400), all accessories you need - only about 18mths old too
You'll find smaller tanks tend to hold value better. I paid £50 for my 6footer and it came on a proper pine stand, none of that chipboard rubbish. What'cha think of them Apples? :p

yeh 6ft ones or larger are as chip as chips as few people have the space and they weigh a bit as well....the jewel 180 i got is about 60kg for the aquarium and stand - with 180 litres of water and 20kg of gravel and accessories its nearer 280kg gulp! no wonder 2 of us can only just shift/drag it gently a short distance

mine looks nice, proper pine ones can looks nice or horrible though

That tank is sold in Jollyes pet superstores for £49.99 19L and I think £64.99 for the 25L

Fluval Edge Aquarium In Burnt Orange - £74.99 Delivered @ Complete Aquatics

Seems a very hot price for a quality and damn good looking aquarium. 23 litres so it won't be suitable for larger fish such as tangs but good as a nano. Hope it helps someone!

Maybe a silly question but if I thoroughly clean some gravel off the sea shore can I use this in an aquarium?
I have a mate who has one of these, and they said there is issues with the amount of fish you can have in. Advise 3 but really, only enough room / oxygen for 2 max? They certainly look nice, but your certainly buying in to a brand.
mamboboy
Way too small for a fantail. I have one in a 60l tank and even that isn't big enough for it. Having them in a tank that's too small will stunt their growth whilst their insides continue to keep expanding. Goldfish always seem like the 'easy' option, but they are the opposite... no stomachs so they produce insane amounts of waste and need frequent water changes.

I would be upgrading my tank from a mirabello 30 so wouldnt this tank be better as its wider
A fantail as in "fancy goldfish"
Have a look here for tank size reccomendation

i have a newt and coldwater fish. could i get this tank for them.

If by coldwater fish you mean goldfish then i'd defo want something bigger for those dirty little ammonia makers! I love the fish but you can never have a tank that is too big for them cos they kick out so much muck.

No its a fantail.

Hmmm interesting I was thinking about systemising a biube with a 30 litre sump and tnx nano skim for sps and Lps. I was in the process of building my own custom light unit for it but this is mighty interesting. What is one of these equivalent to in terms of halides wattage?
Nice find though have some heat
Looks like I'll need to buy a bigger goldfish bowl;-))
