Hotel:
The AluaSun Mediterraneo lines up a supersized pool, and there’s a stylish Italian eatery in the mix, too. This hotel’s in S’Algar – a sleepy, whitewashed resort on Menorca’s southeast coast. The rocky coastline means chic bathing platforms take centre stage instead of a beach. But if you do want sand, it’s an easy 15-minute walk to Cala Alcaufar. It’s a competition between the spacious pool and the swanky Italian à la carte for the spotlight here. For getting out and about, there is a train that can take you to other hotels in the area that runs every 20 minutes.

Great deal, although ive never visited the east coast, we go to menorca every year, perfect for families.
some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and the island doesn't attract the people that majorca and ibiza do and has a nice laid back feel.
If you're a beach person, id highly recommend hiring a car and visiting the south accross to the west for some truly stunning beaches such as cala mitjana, cala galdana, cala en turqueta, cala macarella and cala macarelleta.
If you like walking theres some great trails to most of the beaches along the coast although very rocky.
Id recommend hiring a car from doncars, they're a British family and theres no excess if you crash etc..
I could go on all day about Menorca
