Anyone else feel like GP has been pretty bad lately. Quantity of games added is way down and now the quality is going the same way. Games (which are broken) announced months ago and re-releases are hardly justifying the price tag of 15 per month (I know there are deals but these will likely dry up at some stage).

I think my brother summed it up perfectly. He has XGP and the last game he played to completion was High on Life. He played Hifi Rush for an hour but it wasn't for him. He's just been playing RE4 recently.

He had a look on my PS5 recently at the PS Plus Extra line up and immediately found around 20 games he wanted to play that weren't on XGP. I think the tide is starting to turn. Day one releases are all that MS have over Sony and if Redfall is the bar they're setting then it isn't really something to brag about. (edited)

I mean, for this year, fair enough, but surely there's plenty of decent older games they could add?

Ravenlock listed again. Weird West already on there. Were they banking on Redfall carrying this lineup?

I know Microsoft has paid alot of money for studios to make alot of exclusive games that are falling flat. If Starfield isn't solid they are going to have to make some very drastic changes.

Game Pass has become a large collection of games to play to earn extra Rewards points - thankfully Cloud works well. I had a bad feeling about Redfall after Deathloop so didnt bother installing - now I'm getting more and more worried about Starfield too.

Still no judgement. What happened to bringing sega games to gamepass. Even sonic colours wouldn't be a bad addition. The service is massively going down hill. Nearly no first party titles and the ones What are coming as disasters like halo and redfall. Hell knows what they will do to my favourite games fable and perfect dark

In terms of games (the hardware is great) Microsoft are having an absolute mare this generation. All that money spent on buying up various studios and nothing to show for it. Really wish I’d gone with Sony this gen.

I think Phil and the team has tried to be too hands off with the studios and it’s led to all sorts of issues. The leadership has to change, it seems to be that game pass means they don’t need to release top tier games anymore. Maybe they shouldn’t have tried to buy Activision and instead focused more on their own studios.

Although many will want to defend GP it is becoming harder to still see it as the 'best bargain in gaming' - unless they're fairly new to gaming and no library of games to compare.

Yes - there are lots of games but they're great as casual or for Rewards Points or for a few days of something different like Hi-Fi Rush - but there also needs to be clear AAA titles to justify keeping a sub for months or years. It's possible to get a sub cheap but the full price works out at £132 a year - that much buys a fair few really good games outside of GP or on other platforms.

Waiting for Zelda by playing God of War and RDR2 again on PC shows how far GP has fallen behind. Starfield will really have to deliver now to save GP.
