Sound advice. And the best part is it's free to look over yourself ( provided you know what to look out for ) also do periodical checks. Some drivers have no time and that shows. Especially with BMW drivers. Seriously get some bulbs in those indicators. If you can afford a nice car you should be able to upkeep it. 🙈 🙈 🙈 🙈 🙈

Another HUKD classic, "we've made you a deal of the day", but... the deal doesn't work.

Used them over last 3 years and nothing more than 1 advisory. Seems to me that the concept of a free / cheap MOT leads to more fault finding is an urban myth. I've also used Mr Clutch before with no issues. If the car has a fault it has a fault - they're not going to invent one and risk losing their license. That's not to say that there aren't some very dodgy MOT stations working in reverse, simply passing cars that should have failed. (edited)

I wouldn't leave these incompetent clowns ever touch my car ever again after damaging the panels and fixtures trying to fit a bulb. They gave up and said I needed to go to the dealer to arrange to get it fitted. Once at the guarage I was advised the panels were not put back together again and the lugs had recently been snapped / damaged. (edited)

Bit confusing. The t&c say you need to buy something then they send you a voucher if you tick the right boxes

I got a voucher like this sent a month of so back, had ignored it thinking i would never need it. Then a few days later had nipped into Halfords for a bike pump adapter, thinking it would be £1 or something.... No it was £5!! but the number made me remember the email voucher and i ordered it online standing next to it in the shop, then asked the guy to go get my free order!

to be honest with you, i doubt anyone will get anything from this deal as the heat indicates that halfords have suddenly had a deluge of new sign up to their newsletter!

the OP may have been lucky and got the voucher but that was before he posted this and we all signed up
but heh, as they say, you got to be in it to win it

I received an email from Halfords on the 14th April (few days before my birthday) giving me an exclusive code for £5 off instore or online (no minimum spend) - I have bought things from them in the past though and haven't signed up recently.

I had a sniff around my local Halfrauds the other day, mostly it seems eye-wateringly expensive. Mind you then I went to Homebase and they can't even be bothered to put prices on things. If you have to ask you can't afford it LOL (edited)

Hold up, I spoke too soon regarding never ordering from them as there was something about the email titled "Where has you been?" that I had to look into this further.

I checked with the old dear and it appears she has ordered once from Halfords using the same burner email address but it ws from 2018. She has since unsubscribed from the email list. Halfords appear to be randomly issuing £5 voucher to old customers and me signing up again after a long hiatus put me on that list.
