Great stuff. Only a couple of weeks ago I got this at Lidl for £9.99 Have a look at your local Lidl to see if they have any left

Good stuff this! I found initially it doesn’t ‘appear’ to do much but the longer you leave it the better the result. (edited)

    Agreed

Although you won't see an immediate effect, this stuff works over weeks. Was sceptical the first time I used it, then confused why my slabs looked clean up until a certain point and the rest were black. The solution ran out in the sprayer and i didn't bother doing the rest of the garden

What do you use on block paving? Like the weeds and moss that grow……
    jet wash ?

Just put this on and leave it. It will kill off moss and algae quite quickly. (edited)

It may work but it's certainly not cheap, a 25 litre Centrachlor Red label 25 litre which can be diluted up to 10.1 for light cleaning (5.1 works best for heavy duty dirt) is £20.
Just be careful handling it, use gloves, old clothes and eye protection when pouring as its very strong in its concentrated form.
Not ideal for everyone but far more economical if cleaning a large area and it really works.
Wet ground, apply diluted from watering can, leave as long as you want, I usually give it 30 mins, brush any stubborn dirt, rinse away with hose. It's strong bleach so will stain your clothes so wear some old clothes / boots or overalls. (edited)

As mentioned earlier, bleach does the job just as well. Mine is the clean part. The neighbour could never lower himself from his self appointed position as god to say thank you during the 10 years I cleaned the full run, so now he gets to walk out onto the crap, and any visitors can see what an unclean individual he is50113786-Umrn3.jpg

Lovely! I have a similar neighbour who thinks the work I do for myself somehow is for him. Like I'm his laccy.

    Nah mate.

The active ingredient can be found in bleach.
I last jet washed the alley over 2 years ago. Laid on one bottle of Patio Magic, and since then have used a 20:1 solution of water & thick bleach (about £1 from Lidl etc), and the alley is kept moss etc free.
The same mixture is also sprayed onto the dividing concrete bricks that, with the help of the sun, are now clean as new

Understand they are different. Active ingredient of Patio Magic is benzalkonium chloride, which unlike sodium hypochlorite is a non-bleach cleaning product. Bleach is said to be unsuitable for man-made patio slabs.

Super surprised by this product used lightly with a pump sprayer and cleaned off all the green algae (takes like a week but looks even better with time). I don't even need to pressure wash this year!

How long should you leave it on? I left it on for 3 days and jet washed my Indian sandstone slabs and didn’t think they looked much cleaner at all!

Jet wash first then put it on as a preventative. Like putting the kid on the potty before letting it crawl around in a nappy

I use this with a pump sprayer , kills off all moss and gets rid of the green algae over the fence aswell as cleaning up the York stone slabs without having to power wash

Is a pump action pressure sprayer best to apply this over a driveway? I know it mentions you can use a watering-can on the bottle, but wondered if anyone had any opinion on what’s best. (edited)

This is the only thing i have found that works to kill off moss on a north facing tarmac driveway.
It takes up to a week to see results but it works every time.

Patio Magic sounds like hyperbole but in this case it's very descriptive of its effectiveness. First year we had our Indian sandstone fitted I decided to jet wash it. Worked ok but time consuming and messy (and I'm sure took the top layer of the sandstone with it!). A neighbour recommended this and I've used it every year since. It really is ....Magic. (edited)

I had done my research on what to use and finally decided on this stuff accepting that it would take time to work etc. Only trouble was the green was gone by the next day both on patio stones and on garden fence. (New build home only 1 year of build up). I diluted as per instructions, didn't scrub or anything and it worked a treat! (edited)

Will this work on removing the black spots or does it just clean algae?

I found it doesn’t do much for black spots. I would recommend a biocide for that but of course follow the instructions if you go ahead with that.
