eBay seller sent an offer plus use eBay promo code?

Hi, I'm sure this has been asked/discussed a lot of times before but couldn't see anything about it really.

I'm watching an item on eBay to which the seller has sent me an offer of 10% off the original price but I was wondering if it's possible to accept the offer and then at checkout use eBay's promo code to get 20% off also (the item/seller qualifies for eBay's promo code).

It actually varies between codes, i've had one which didn't work with the seller offer

Just an update, I tried buying the item by accepting the sellers offer and then adding the eBay promo code at checkout and it worked perfectly , thanks again .

Will expire this now. (edited)
