HyperX Cloud II Pro Gaming Headset (Gun Metal) - £54.99 @ GAME

As in title. Great gaming headset for great price. Free delivery or click and collect.

Literally been looking at headsets for hours and wishing I could find this cheaper than 70 and I just did. Thanks op (y)

Robust headset

If this is better than the Official Playstation headsets, I wont have to use Acoustic sensor anymore (cheeky)

Great headset but my mic stopped working after about 6 months. The actual mic works on its own but not when plugged into headset (couldn't return as lost receipt). I will grab another pair because It's one of the best headsets in this price range.

This makes me happy

Mickey is OOS online, but got a couple of the Snow White ones and will C&C.

The deal is still available in-store why expiring it ?

Snow White one is 50p cheaper and still in stock.

weeZl: The snow white one is a bit of tat. The Mickey and Snow White advent calendars have exactly the same items inside, just different flavours. I have the Mickey one, but now £1.50 I've ordered 2 Snow White ones to keep as handy size products for when going away. The only thing inside that's a bit of tat is the bath puff, let's just say its lacking enough puff and a tight enough knot, but once I retied it it'll do the job.

Doesn't work for me... "The Buy Now Pay Later coupon NKMKE is not valid"

1. I use glasses in my rift and have never scratched my lenses. If you are not careful I can see how this could happen. 2. Oculus support hasn't been great in the past but these days it tends be be really good actually. Often accommodating folks whose warranty period is up! 3. Spares other than new cable, absolutely true. A lot of owners are very technically minded and could do their own repairs if parts were available. But then again by most accounts oculus support has upped their game and CAN be very accommodating these days.

From a previous post of mine: For anyone who has purchased this. Here's some suggestions game wise. In order of my preference Free Must Haves: Robo Recall Echo VR Dead and Buried Lucks Tale Medium (clay sculpting, amazing what you can do either if not creative) Quill (drawing in 3D, harder but amazing) Google Earth Toybox Bigscreen Beta (Oculus "OS" now allows pinning virutal Windows whilst in game, but this is still great app) Brass Tactics Arena (free few maps to see if you like the full game, which I do despite not being my normal genre) Mountain Goat Mountain VR Sports Challenge (well, worth having as free, kids love it) Rec Room (hmm, either wroth price of VR alone, or you won't be able to stand all the kids that are in there) Lots of experiences, like 'Dear Angelica' and 'Henry' Bullet Train (Effectively template demo Robo Recall was made from, still worth having though) Must Haves: Beat Saber Echo Combat (£10 dlc in Echo VR) Lone Echo Superhot Eleven (table tennis, feels so real and I stuck a table tennis, but this made me better!) Elite Dangerous (if you have the time and place for Hotas) there are others, will update when have time Worth a watch in Winter Sales: Brass Tactics Blaze Rush Space Pirate Trainer Ultra Wings From Other Suns The Climb Arktika.1 Edge Of Nowhere Wilson's Hearth For those with Children, please note that there hasn't been enough study to determine VR usage on developing eyes which is why everyone has put a blacket recommendation of 13 year old and up's. Personally I am fine allowing my younger kids 15 minute sessions as there much official content that's clearly aimed at them and the reactions are priceless. Below are the ones my kids play the most: Favourites at 4yo (in order of most played at age): Toy Box Robo Recall Eagle Flight Henry / Invasion / Lost / Oculus Dreamdeck BlazeRush (4yo loved this playing simple levels but 6yo really struggled so depends on child) The Climb (sometimes had to pick him up to reach first grab) Medium/Quill VR Sport Challenge Luky's Tale Bullet Train At 5yo Beatsaber Ultrawings Powers United VR (can play offline only but have to be quick to avoid lobby when starting) Coaster Rush Late for Work Likes but a bit above him: Brass Tactics Shoot Fruity

Glasses - I permanently wear glasses, no problems. Clearly down to the user and glasses. CS - Generally people agree Oculus has the better customer service experience, lots of very positive stories on forums. Of course, there are some people who've had issues, as have all companies. Personally had no troubles with a replacement sensor, which evidently ended up being my own issue, not hardware. Parts - Depends on the part. Lots of people have managed to gets parts and repairs. Lenses however are not removable like they were in DK2, so whole headset would need to go in. Not sure what they'd charge for that, but certainly try to look after the lenses.

Lone Echo is fantastic, as is Robo Recall (free)

Its 1metre long, standard 3.5mm jack

Hi, How long is the cable? I want it for a Nintendo switch but i notice it says for xbox- I'm assuming its just a normal 3.5 jack input?

Bit of a side note on buying headphones for chat/gaming on the xbox one. I've not really used live on mine since I got it, but recently got in to pubg and thinking of having a go at fortnite, so just plugged in my handsfree headphones that came with my phone, and the mic and audio quality is great. Mates of mine say I sound crystal clear using them, and the audio is spot on too. If you're controllers jmars the newer ones with 3.5mm jack, give that a go and see how you get on.

I'm not expecting premium quality with these but would they be better than the cheapy ones you find on Amazon? They'll be used by children for Fornite on Switch. Have also reserved a pair of the Hyper X core (£24.99), but now I'm thinking I could get two for the price of one with the HC-X1.

Defo worth reporting as false advertising, I'll do the same if that haven't a clue when I collect my order in the week

Ok thanks mate nearly bought it but I probably won’t now wish Xbox done something like this with a similar price

Think of it as a standard non wireless multi platform headset. However it can be wireless with PC, PS4, and PS3, and provide 7.1 sound via PS4 and PS3 (I think PS3)

Just tried. Wirelessly you can't. The dongle does nothing when put in the Xbox. However, if you plug the headset into the socket on the Xbox controller, it acts as a standard headset. Power is not needed and Mic works. Mic and Audio can be adjusted within a few taps of a button on the Xbox Controller.

Yes please mate that would be great

I haven't tried that via the Xbox, but I will test it today and let you know. It's doubtful, but it does work with PC.

Just been looking at this myself. After a little bit of looking around found this on the HyperX website. "Also compatible with Xbox One™ and Nintendo Switch™" So to answer your question (And mine!) yes the 'PS4 model' works on XBox 1 and Nintendo switch also according to them.

you'd need a splitter :) (maybe like this, but you'd need to check the CTIA )

Most important to me. Can you switch the mouse and keyboard lights off. I like to sleep without having to witness a light show in my room.

Interested in the mouse.. looks like it could be quite comfortable.

Thought about this as well and found the answer here: The term semi-mechanical keyboard could refer to any of the following: A keyboard where a portion of the keys have mechanical key switches and the other have not (rubber dome switches). Example: Corsair Vengeance K90 A keyboard with key switches that some would describe as being "semi-mechanical" or "half-mechanical". These often have a mechanism over a membrane (See Category:Membrane switches) or rubber domes integrated into individual switch modules. This usage is not common and would in some meanings encompass many keyboards that are otherwise widely considered to be mechanical, for example the IBM Model M. Tai-Hao use the term in reference to their former APC semi-mechanical series, which is spring-over-membrane with click leaves. A marketing term for a rubber dome keyboard with individual sliders. This usage is relatively new whereas rubber domes with sliders are not. It has occurred as a market reaction to the recent resurgence of mechanical keyboards. The keycaps and sliders often have Cherry MX mount.

Went to buy this at Cardiff Leckwith Lidl yesterday, nothing about the layout was mentioned on the box but opened it up to check and was disappointed to see that it's US layout with @ on the 2 key. Can't live with that, but the keyboard did feel quite good (for £29.99).

Has any one else noticed it not a UK layout keyboard?

Gioteck TX-30 gaming headset blue green and pink £11.99 Argos
Updated 5 h, 9 m agoLast updated 5 h, 9 m ago by K0YS
I've seen these at £19.99 and £14.99 but this seems a fantastic price for what is a great gaming headset. I have a couple for my children, might pick one up for myself!

I picked those up the other day. Feel great, look great. Volume is pretty low. Audio leak is minimal on full volume.

Defo, it's just styling. Plus TX-30 is slightly lighter.

Edit: think it's just styling? I'm picking up the TX-40 today for same price so need to look at the differences...

Logitech G413 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Romer-G, £48.99 at amazon
Updated 5 h, 46 m agoLast updated 5 h, 46 m ago by Par78
Black friday price.

Ordered and heated, thanks OP!

If you hit them hard there is a metallic noise as they bottom out. I've only had membrane keyboards before so can't compare to other switches. Normal typing is louder than the Cherry office membrane keyboard I had before, but not much, it doesn't annoy me or others in the same room. Apparently it's one of the quietest mechanical switches. 1:36 for the G413. Also, it's SO much nicer to type on. Like, why the hell didn't I get one years ago difference. The only downside is now normal keyboards feel like typing on custard soaked sponge.

Mine arrived last week and from a quick look it was virtually silent! That said, I havent actually fully unpackaged and used it yet.

How loud are the romer-G switches? I would like something for when i'm not at home working but it is often in shared offices.

Seems mighty cheap for a mechanical! Decent brand too! Heat. :)

Personally I've been playing seated stuff. I love Rez, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, Everspace, Project Cars 2. I use a HOTAS for the flying games and a wheel for the racing games. Amazing in VR. I'm keen to try thumper in VR (waiting for a sale) and polynomial 2 as well. I'm keen to try Pavlov and Beat Saber but I don't have a lot of room where my PC is. Subnautica is free at the moment if you have the Epic store but I haven't tried that yet.

I reckon Superhot VR must be incredible but any games you reckommend

Got mine for £150 on black Friday, haven't played anything that isn't in VR since. Elite Dangerous is superb, Rez is sublime
