Apple MacBook 12", Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 615, Gold £999 at John Lewis and partners
Updated 9 m agoLast updated 9 m ago by DQ111111
Good saving on this laptop.

Zenbooks or MSI fopr example PS42 are quality made laptops. Macs used to be the best in terms of quality, but that's the past...

your paying for the quality of the laptop more than anything, there isn't a windows laptop as good, a few get close like the xps 13/15, zenbooks, huawei matebook etc but all of them fall short somewhere, they are all better value and most will be faster in raw performance but the quality isn't as good (apart from the keyboard, not a big fan of the macbook keyboards)

so this, or a 2015 Pro (MF839)?

I know just what you mean... marketing eh....

Much appreciated (y) 🏻

Hot on the heels of the reduced price of the m3 Macbook, JL have reduced the price of the next model up. Silver and Gold in stock. Let the Apple vs PC debate begin...

Presumably because people are different. Why bookmark them when you can just leave the page open with no concerns.

FYI someone else has posted your deal but hukd allowing it to stay despite the fact the told me they took care of it twice

Yeah last nights one went quick. If it is showing up it is a case of others are either beating you to it or just keep trying. It took me a few goes to get my one after it went out of stock and then was back in again a while later.

Thanks! Almost got it at the moment, but says out of stock after the payment page. I'll keep trying ;-)

Any good cheap imacs around? :/

Have one and love it - use it with a Craft keyboard with an iMac. One thing that bugs me though is that won’t stay connected for restarting to Windows in Bootcamp - no fault of the mouse but if anyone knows a way, please let me know! (y) 🏼😁

After having this mouse for several months, it has THE WORST placed forward and backward buttons of any mouse I've ever used. Very awkward to reach, and often find myself slipping on to the wrong one.

Apart from protecting the finish of the mouse, it just adds more bulk to a mouse that's designed to be left on a desk. I'm just guessing, but I think that's why they made the Anywhere version. I've still got the original MX Anywhere, much smaller, but still a very good mouse that you'll have to lock away when not at your desk on your travels as someone is bound to steal it. If you want uber compact travel mouse, take a look at the Microsoft Arc Bluetooth touch mouse. Compromised ergonomics when compared to these Logitechs but great form factor for travelling with.

I have this fabulous mouse. Very comfortable, high quality and the scroll wheel feels surprisingly real nice, slow with some resistance which feels amazing. It sure is a thing of beauty.

Same price at amazon and free nnext day delivery for prime members. And it look slike they have cut the price on a number of mice

Toshiba X300 4TB SATA III 3.5" Hard Drive £92.99 at CCL Online
Updated 15 m agoLast updated 15 m ago by fiqqer
Good value and for this fast and reliable drive, Key Features: 4TB Capacity 7200RPM Spin Speed SATA III Interface 128MB Cache 3.5" Form Factor 1 Year Warranty

You do know why most drives now have a one year warranty? They are slowing the manufacturing of them down because SSD's and M.2s are taking over it has NOTHING to do with the reliability of the drive? I am online everyday as I make my wage from being online and I have to have access to my 4 X300 drives and each one has been used thousands of times without a single issue...You are over dramatising something..

1 year warranty? your kidding me. This means it is an oem drive and you will have no warranty with toshiba. The warranty is with Amazon for a replacement. Sorry I will give these a miss. If I am paying this amount of money for a hard disk I need to know it is reliable. It is a good deal cheaper than on Amazon though and the cheapest I have seen for a 7200 rpm internal drive.

I have FOUR of these in my main PC, 7200RPM is spot on! it is one of the best drives Ive ever had, Not quite as fast as my Samsung 970 PRO 1TB but then these drives (X300) are there for storage and I suppose as its the 7200rpm could be used as a C:drive. I paid £120 per drive so this is a REAL good find..!! Make no mistake these drives are fantastic! I did all the reviews and almost everyone of them was great. They wont fail like some drives will and their performance is really good... IF you cant afford a high volume SSD and you need a new C:drive this is the answer. IF you are looking for storage for your online games, work files or personal files this drive again is perfect... (party)

Is this Toshiba's equivalent to Black drives?

If you look at the unit price per tb, the 6tb is a better unit price than the 8tb.. 8tb is slightly higher unit price. However, the 10tb had the lowest unit per tb since Nov 2018, but bought too many drives lol

Why is 6tb better? From what I’ve been reading the larger 8 and 10tb drives have red or white disks which are supposed to be far be

These are great cables, when I had my new Iphone, I sold the apple cable and bought these! I think they are superior to the actual apple cable. Personal opinion only! To be fair mine is pluged in and pulled out a lot in my car

Just FYI - if you are planning to use this as a charging cable, keep in mind that it's rather thick and heavy. Yes, it's durable, but I found them rather stiff and it puts a lot of weight on the charging port. USB 3.0 requires more wires inside which makes the cable heavier, and you don't need USB 3.0 for charging. A simpler USB 2.0 cable will be easier to use if charging is all you need.

Anyone use this cable with a QuickCharge 3.0 enabled phone? That's my only quirk, if it doesn't I won't purchase it. Hot deal though, bruv.

Have these cables. Great quality ends, good velcro fastner. Good deal. Heat.

Trying to find one for my Pixel 2 XL but all descriptions say they don't support fast charge either

Post it...Ive had good experience with ASUS - the 4gb is cheap of them and I think short sighted - I am on my second Zenbook this is identical formwise which I think is great - that was the deciding factor for me 1.3-1.4kg. SSD in the Lenovo likely easy to upgrade for 25Quid ? and ive got memory coming for the Asus for an extra 8gb taking it to 12gb for 32 quid Memo

IPS according to this review...but doesnt even state on teh Asus wesite I picked on eup yesterday and must say its very nice. Almost identical form factor (size and weight , apart from the hinge lid ) to my Zenbook UX310U - and it has a slightly bigger screen

Looks like this docking station is marked up as "Upcoming Lightning Deal! Starts at Jun 21, 6:56  Last Lightning Deal (6 days ago) was priced at £ 25.00" Might be cheaper than this 40% off "promotion" £20.99 price, might not. Placed the item into basket, clicked on checkout and then noticed the frequency of how often this device is on one sale or another. Don't really need it right now, so I'm going to hold back for now. I figure they're just trying to drum up business, so IMO I don't think it's a genuine bargain. It's a good price if you need it, if not, I'd hold fire.

I think a basic Windows installation takes up around 10-15GB. Use an external USB enclosure to move your data using something like Macrium Reflect. There's some info here, as well, about reducing the size of your Windows 10 installation. :) Edit: Other than having to move your data over, it's fairly straight-forward. Here's a link to a teardown thread, though you really have to take it completely apart to get at the drive. You'll need some way of moving the data over, such as an external drive enclosure (see above!), but after that it ought to be just swap-and-go. That will leave you with the external enclosure which you can use as a portable USB drive. :) They set aside some space in case any sectors fail, the drive automatically swaps out one of the saved sectors for the damaged sector, but that does seem like a lot. Maybe check it with one of the options mentioned here, make sure there isn't already a partition of some sort on there already. The link is about formatting, really, but there are instructions on how to check it in Windows Disk Management program. Hopefully, you'll be able to get some of that space back! :)

Wow bought the 1tb version but got only 892GB of unformatted space like wtf how is that acceptable? I would understand maybe 950 or so but this is real bad...

Yup, Derbyco1_. above has it. The K55 is RGB!!! with... not a lot of build quality behind it. It'll be perfectly decent for a membrane keyboard though, I'm sure. The rest of the set... isn't bad. I rate the HS series over the voids and it's a decent mouse.

Great deal if you're not bothered about having a mechanical keyboard
