Carp. Sky flagged up that there was account at my address before.
Try ringing sky directly. I spoke to them on Friday with an active phone and broadband contact and he did this for me on another name as long as I was seeking to cancel the other contact straight after the phone call.
May be worth a go - thanks. I don't hold out that much hope though

Now that it's been a few more days since my cancellation notice with Sky, I tried again to get this deal instore.
Was it the whole package you had our just TV? If phone as well do they think you'll get to keep your number?
Carp. Sky flagged up that there was account at my address before. The guy at Simplify Digital was very polite on the phone though and tried to help but only so much he can do without getting into trouble. And I wasn't going to try lying about us just moving into this address for the first time.

This deal avenue is closed for me - even when trying with wife's name coz there's still an active account there (like another poster here said before). Maybe if I had cancelled sooner, I could have gotten it, now it looks like I'll miss out - next recourse, try to badger Sky into a reasonable deal since I already issued cancellation notice last week.

Just had to call sky as I noticed my receipt said sky + HD box and not sky q which I thought I signed up to last week at £27.40. The guy said my phone and broadband had been cancelled so he had to do it again but basically got me the q box (1tb) with all the same deal phone anytime and fibre unlimited etc. Install date is later now but he said he was updating the price and dropped it to £21.31. Not sure why this was but didn't argue. Plus he took some install charges off. Expecting now that I'm not going to get what I think as this just seems to cheap!

Anyone know if I can just get Sky Q from CPW? Sky broadband & fiber is useless in my area so don't want to leave BT.
Or could I take this Sky offer, pay it each month but get BT to put my fiber back to them after Sky has been connected and tell Sky that I will still pay or just pay an early termination fee to Sky for the broadband/line?
Hi,
I noticed you saying Sky broadband are useless in your area. Is that because you can't get it or becaise its really awful as it is a BT area? I ask because I am with BT and I know its a BT area so I am worried switching to sky fibre might be a bad idea.

Hi,

With Sky Fiber unlimited I got no more than 9mbps, sometime 3mbps and this was on fiber, Openreach was called out and said there was no issue, called the CEO's office, they done an investigation, this lasted about 5 months, they could not find out why so made me exempt from my contract on fiber, phone line and TV.
BT, I got 36mbps out of 38mbps, now it's upgraded to 52mbps and I get 42mbps to 59mbps.

I'd expect some really good ps4 deals coming as it's redundant soon due to getting replaced by ps4 slim and also ps4 pro.

I still use my ps3. The ps4 fat isn't redundant and won't be for at least 4 years in my opinion.

have got this in my basket - just waiting to pull the trigger.
A now redundant console with two trash games, empty your basket.
Just bought one off an earlier offer. Playing many games that are ps4 exclusive and so not on Xbox one. Far from redundant as it will play all future ps4 titles. A good buy.Heat.
I would wait for the pro, it will do everything this will but als has ac wifi, which is one of my main gripes with my current ps4. I want to play via remote play but even with an asus 87u router in the same room i barely can manage 540 at normal frame rate.

I went for the fibre option - works out around £26.30 for 12 months. Still not sure if I have done the right thing or not. I suppose it all depends on what speeds I get.

I bought one in June, overall im pleased with it.
Was it hard to put together and did you use a concrete or wooden base?

This YouTube video shows full assembly

I already had a concrete base. It was straight forward to put up, did it in a day on my own.
Wouldn't recommend, mine was a nightmare to put together as quite a lot of the panels were not cut straight.

the scam with this bloody thing is the fact that it auto renew's straight after that month so your paying 10 quid or whatever it is, i wonder how many people they catch out with it?

how is that a scam?? its just good business to offer an incentive to try a product...if anything, its us scamming them, afterall none of us are going to keep it beyond the month.

always looking on this site for deals so I thought I might share this one with you. I called to rejoin sky after moving in to our first home, they offer me broadband for £22.50 (poor deal) and the above tv and broadband package for £65!!! I quickly logged on here and I mentioned this deal and bang reduced down to £16.31.

So thank you for posting !!! :D
are they doing a deal with just TV at all? just about to have it installed on Friday for just the box set package and the old HD box for £19
Took my cousin yesterday to Carphone Warehouse. She was paying nearly £30pm with Virgin for landline and anytime calls only! Amazing deal took 20 mins to sign her up .
SkyQ box 1TB
Family pack HD
Line rental
Broadband
Anytime calls extra including mobiles
£16.31
£10 deposit which will be refunded on 1st bill
£9.95 for equipment ,probably router.
Wish I could have it but already with sky on 50% deal
My previous Sky contract ended on the 16th Oct last year - do you think I'll have to get my wife to sign up to get the deal, or if I arrange for installation on the 17th it'll be ok?
Got this over the phone, see other thread. The person I spoke to hadn't heard of it but credit to her she went away and came back and had managers permission. Only £10 activation action fee and, as I'm on Virgins 100meg, asked if they could do fibre max too, which apparently is up to 71mbps where I am so more than adequate, which they did. So very happy. Should have cost £88pm, so for £26.31, including line rental is sinply amazing. Thank you to all posters of all permutations!

I wouldn't bother to be honest. Pay a little extra for a solid copper core, CCA cables are pretty low grade and it's not a massive price difference between them.

Finally got the difference refunded, as I was originally charged £280, so I got the complete deal at the deal price after all.
Good to see you benefited well.

Big thank you as I got the original deal. I also took back no mans sky and got a refund. Plus took back the other 2 games and swapped them for 2 Sony ps dual shock 4 wireless controllers! Just paid an extra £2. Awesome deal!
[quote=coursemyhorse]I take it back, I tried at a different Sainsburys earlier as was passing right by. I managed to get a full £46.99 refund on No Man's Sky.
I handed it over with receipt and said nothing - other than that I obviously wanted a refund on an unwanted game. I did the same! Mine was refunded too!
I never received my ps4, they still charged me too but just noticed they have sent me an email saying no man's sky is being refunded for 40-something pounds and another email saying I was being refunded but no items or money listed. When I checked my account they had refunded me £110 more than what they had charged me for the whole lot :D
Seems that even though I rejected the console they went ahead & charged me for it anyway. Great.

Thanks. They look horrendous.
What's with the bad attitude toward someone trying to help you? I sure do hope you're not like that in person as I don't think it would be long before you ran out of people..
X) I think you have misconstrued my comment regarding SSE and taken it as somehow against you? I said they look horrendous because the price seems great but I see most signing up have traffic management and CS issues.
I have no issues with traffic management or CS.
It's actually on Daisy's national network. Sound's like you've had personal experience? Or are you simply relaying reviews by other people? Not a good idea to speak on other people's behalf when you're in a position to be effecting someone's buying decision. That's called a "rumour".
I refer to the SSE fibre deal thread and multiple other places on the web noting their CS and traffic management issues.
So no actual first hand experience then, yet still intent on telling an actual customer how bad things are. Laughable. Find something better to do with your off-hours.
I'm looking for a new ISP, naturally I have looked at reviews and others who have had first hand experience of the services, SSE were one of the worst (for the reasons I mentioned. HUKD has its own thread on the SSE Fibre deal and it's dire to say the least. If you want to take it as a personal attack on your choice of ISP and somehow think that you need to defend an ISP choice because it's the one you have signed up for....
Well that's your choice.
Please keep in mind that most people will often look at reviews before signing up to a 12/18 month contract, in the real world nobody wastes their time in signing up to an ISP for the sake of 'it's all rumours unless you try it yourself', only to discover that the rumours were true. In the case of SSE; poor traffic management and CS, it happens, but reviews often help you avoid that situation first hand! It's not right to lambaste other HUKD members for not trying out SSE before paying attention to reviews (It's rather silly to suggest otherwise). (_;)
Many have tried them and it's quite clear that the general opinion is that £5 a month gets you (in the majority of cases) a shoddy third rate experience with lower than average speeds when compared to other ISP's.
Thanks for confirming you have no first hand experience.

As I said, well dodgy and stealing content. Should just pay your own way rather thieving it.

I just thought it saves money buying sky when you can get it for one off payment for around £30 on eBay

It's stealing content though. No different in my view from walking into a shop and taking stuff without paying. As Dairooney says it's a matter of integrity. Personally I would rather pay for what I want to watch in a legit way rather than dodgy streams.

All about honesty and integrity for me. I won't nick a bottle of wine from Tesco and similarly won't illegally stream content that should be paid for.
That said I think price of live football is a scandal, but I tend to use Now TV passes when I really want to see a game
charging people money to watch amateur sports is legal??
Take Gaelic football for example. The players are not paid. If the players don't earn money from the sport then why should Rupert Murdoch.

This money must be going somewhere in your sport. If everyone free streams, then what?

I signed up prior to this deal with the previous weeks deal, same terms. Must say how impressed with the speed. I moved away from Virgin 100 as Virgin have major problems in Hertfordshire due to a system upgrade which will last till next year! Virgin kept cutting off and speed dropped to ADSL levels with long ping times. Thought I would be 'downgrading' to go back to ADSL and no option of Fibre in our area. I'm getting 10mbps and 1mbps respectively but ping time is fast and I can honestly not tell the difference while surfing the web or iPlayers, guess if I was a gamer it would be a different story.

I applied this deal two days ago. Their service isn't good. Before I applied, I chatted with a Sky Expert online. They said that I can ask them to change the activation date to the one that I prefer. So I ordered it. I can't find anywhere to change my activation date, so I called them, they said that they can't change it for me. They can only cancel it. So I cancelled it. It's not a smooth easy process as they said on their website!

Do a live chat and ask for lower prices or extra stuff for free and they may be able to put some on. If you tell them you are thinking of leaving they will offer you something.
Tried that before and they just say "ok, thanks for letting us know we will close the account once you move the line away" !!! Rubbish!
Then have the balls to stick with it and sign up as a new customer with your install date the day after disconnection.
And be without broadband for days while they get their **** in gear? Living in an area where I have no mobile signal, being without a phone line or broadband would not be for me!

Time the changeover for same day then :)

I only have tv with sky and use TalkTalk for internet and phone but if I ring Sky and cancel they usually say ok and put in a disconnect date but then I live chat with them every week during the 28 days notice until I get somebody to offer what I want. It helps if you do change your package a little, last time I took off a multi room subscription. Told them I wanted to pay under £40 a month for full sports and movies with one multi room instead of 2 and after about 15 minutes of saying "that's not below £40" they found a deal. That said my broadband and phone are with TalkTalk on a deal that sky can't get close to, when all the security issues happened they offered extra free stuff and I said yes to all :p

Been getting deals from here for years, so finally signed up to try and get a code for this deal but unable to PM until i'm more active. :-( oh well. Enjoy everyone that gets this. Recently got a Hisense 65k TV so thought the Sky Q could be a winner at £35 just a bit worried about the broadband anyone get i good deal with Sky Fibre?

PS you don't have to go "via compare the market", this is the standard price for a new customer as quoted directly on the Sky website......

As I pointed out in post #4: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/sky-fibre-broadband-38mbps-17-40-for-25gb-pcm-12m-contract-via-compare-market-2509399?p=28731997

Not exactly covering yourself in glory here...

Aha my mistake! Ask for the thread title to be changed?

There you go, that's how you accept criticism :)

Why would anyone be attempting to cover themselves in glory?! :)

Keep well :) Good luck with your next deal :)

So £17.40pm, whilst 10% cheaper than approx £20pm, is actually not a good deal.
Unless, of course, it happens to suit your needs perfectly.
I think my point is made clearly enough... "Suit your needs"... How? That's like saying Well I only need one tin of soup so even though they are buy-one-get-one-free I'll just have one. Illogical to most people's mind.
But yes, if your "needs" are to pay a high price for a lesser service - yes it does suit them! :)
Come on admit it, there's better deals out there than this! :)
Come on then Nujol, if there are so many name 3 deals for a current Sky broadband customer that are better than this one, because I couldn't find any when I looked.
Sure. Go to the Misc forum on HUKD and read the most recent of the 3000+ comments on the Sky thread.
You'll see that there are no advertised deals for existing customers. Ok, maybe they might offer something akin to 25% off. The ONLY way to get a market-beating deal from Sky is to give notice to cancel, wait a few days and then chat to them.
Seriously read the Sky thread in Misc, not the headline deal as that's out of date now, but the comments being posted every day.
There are multiple success stories of customers pointing out various things and Sky offering as low as £10pm TOTAL inc the (soon to be abolished) line rental for Fibre. Also deals like 60% off plus £100 account credit for other packs, and so on.
The deals vary it seems day to day and month to month, but basically they amount to about 75% off the headline prices for TV and BB. But only if you give notice to cancel and then barter with online chat Retentions.
Good luck.
I see. So there aren't any ACTUAL deals better than this, just POTENTIAL/THEORETICAL ones? And if you can't negotiate a better deal with Sky (or simply don't want to - I'm sure not everyone would be comfortable doing so), then this is the BEST deal available?
The bottom line: this deal is voted cold because there is theoretically the possibility that you might be able to get a better one. I stand by my comments about the intelligence of HUKD users.
Errrrr.... You've lost it mate. I can't quite believe you would insult my or other HUKD'ers intelligence.
I'm not sure how to explain it in any more simple terms to you. When you actually cancel Sky (give 31 days notice)their website changes, personalised to you, to display the 60% off etc. deals. You then chat to them and get them applied to your account.
It's up to you. If you want to choose to ignore this as somehow me or other HUKD members having a lack of intelligence or however you wish to put it, that is your naive choice.
I say again, a link CANNOT be provided because the deals are PERSONALISED and they are ONLY DISPLAYED ON MYSKY once you cancel.
Totally up to you. Believe THE TRUTH or witter on about theoretical, potential deals, which is a total load of nonsense.
Read the Misc thread that I have alerted you to. EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO CANCELS SKY RECEIVES THESE OFFERS.
Goodness me! Goodnight! 3guesses as to whether you will finally accept this..............! No grudges held :)
BTW, are you referring to this thread:http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/75-off-sky-tv-for-existing-customers-only-works-when-call-specific-number-3-weeks-1741671
If so, that seems to be limited to Sky TV customers, *NOT* people who only have Sky broadband.
You've answered the question yourself! Clearly not the title but the great detail within the thread - did you take the time to read all 3000 comments (presumably yes).
That's my last word on the matter, no point adding any more as you are determined not accept that 100s of people a day get a better deal than this thread.
But please don't be put off posting future deals - But do accept comments even if they go against your deal - it happens sometimes! :) For an example see my EE iPhone deal a few months back which was available to all EE customers who cancelled and then spoke to Refuse to Lose. I didn't angrily and rudely disagree with people who questioned it, I just explained.
Good luck in the future. Hopefully you'll listen and pick up a cracking deal like those that are available to all Sky customers who cancel BB (read the detail of that Misc thread).
Bye :)

So all the people voting this deal cold are doing so because they also happen to be Sky TV subscribers? And there was I questioning their intellect...

Makes packing so much easier, used them a couple of times on holiday and getting a lot of use on trips away in our caravan

and a toiletry bag that folds down on the bag of the door... really quick to pack and unpack now

Great to see, it was this price last weekend on Steam but of course when I got around to ordering it was back to full price.

Yeah I bought the After Dark DLC and spent too long deliberating the Snowfall DLC so the price went back up :( Then I saw this sale and jumped on it! Gotta get me some trams :)
Exact same deal that was on Steam, it's even for Steam codes but doesn't get the same heat as the Steam deal?

Whether it's rubbish or not the Devs are laughing on all the cash that they made on all the hype, they won't mind that prices are slashed to half within a few weeks of release. I've not played it as I didn't fall for the hype as watching the trailers I was unsure on it, plus been suckered in by the hype before.
Whats funny is that people who bought the game were the ones who were questioning it before release like saying "what do you actually do". People then bought it for some reason and bought it in droves because stupidly spreads. I stopped getting hyped for new games after feeling scammed from buying Fallout 4 and GTA V but there are people who literally get fooled over and over and then blame the dev for taking advantage of their stupidity.
You say you felt "scammed" by Fallout 4 and GTA V - two of the GREATEST games of the last decade - and you're calling other people stupid?!
Those two games are complete trash with shallow gameplay with not much to actually do that is fun so yes they are trash. GTA V has got to be the longest running fad ever yet now has made the company so rich they have given up making games and Fallout 4 was just a turd.

I seem to be in the minority here but Im loving this game, probably logged over 60+ hours in it, I'd say £30 is a good price for this perhaps should have been the launch price. Yeah they pulled some features and it's far from perfect but since launch they have patched the game and fixed all the bugs within a very short period of time and have stated that they are working on free updates and different ways to play.

All previous boxes were yours after the contract ended.

I could well just be very lucky but if you fancy a gamble, I signed up to this Sky Broadband and went live with the service a few weeks ago. I contacted them on live chat saying I'd seen that they offer cashback through Quidco and had improved the gift card from £75 to £100 and could they give free fibre unlimited for 12 months. A quick chat to a manager and this was added to my account.
As I say, this is in no way guaranteed but if the standard broadband would be acceptable to you in a worst case scenario then I'd say go for Sky and try and haggle a cheap/free upgrade to Fibre once you are live.
I've gone for sky broadband for the time being ! let's see and thanks for your feedback :) that was lucky!

ah ive just cancelled sky broadband as came to end of my 12 month deal, do you think this will work if I resign up to them??
I cancelled mine last week and they emailed within days offering to pay my line rental for a year so only £10pm for Broadband. Had the last year almost free thanks to the MSE deal so I think I'll accept.
How does this work? How long before your contract ended did you call? And by 'cancel', do you mean you ended up without broadband at all until they called you back? I am also on the MSE deal which was pretty much free for the last year, now considering going with Plusnet - that would be only £106 a year, since you only pay for the line rental, you get £60 cashback from Quidco plus £50 cashback from Plusnet.
It's due to end at the end of the month. I gave notice of cancellation and they offered free BB, just pay line rental which I declined. 2 days later I received the email offering to pay my line rental for the year if I contact them by the 22nd. It's a generic looking email with a big banner saying "have your line rental on us" not an email from the Sky rep personally or anything.
I was going to get the other half signed up on this deal which is cheaper all things considered but I'm in two minds now.

What is notice of cancellation?
I called and said I would switch if I didn't get a good deal, they offered £17.40 a month (including line rental) for the following year, I said I would switch to Plusnet, she said I should call them and the switch would go through at the end of the contract, so no cancellation was necessary. Didn't try to offer me any better deal at all! :(

There will be many, many copies of No Man's Sky being traded-in. £18.39 is a jolly good price so soon after launch. Encouraged by this I am! :)
Arghh had to make an account which is didn't want and it sold out as I was paying =?

Ordered FC4 and shows as payment made to MM Guernsey Ltd with no mention of the games name in Paypal. However there is no trace of the order on their website. Is that normal or have I've been scammed?

same here it should be OK, think it's because we've used PayPal as the payment and the item will still be despatched as normal.

Interesting... seems to work if you copy and paste it
Am I blind or is this offer not listed on the Quidco page?

As the OP said earlier, make it a cut & paste job?.

As linking it directly from the OP's link clearly doesn't work? (as my above previous comment shows/demonstrates ... )

It's the way how HUKD is rendering the OP's link above apparently?. :-(

Instead of it presenting as:

NOW TV Voucher Codes, Cashback & Discount Codes | Quidco

http://www.quidco.com/now-tv/

It's rather presenting as:

Sky broadband £118.75 for the year £9.90 a month or £4.22 month after tcb

From mse website Until Thu 29 Sep, newbies to Sky* (or those who left 12+ months ago) who take its £17.40/mth line rental can get its broadband 'free' on a 12-month contract. Plus you get a £100…

Please please please if you value your time, do not sign up to SKY broadband, you will experience intermittent signals and slow speeds and will spend hours on the phone. Sky tv is great but broadband is so poor.
I've been with them for years switching between myself and the Mrs for new customer offers, always very cheap and getting solid 21mbps download (non-fibre) Currently on the £10 for a whole year MSE deal.
Sometimes they do extra deals if you click through a website managed to get the deal up and it tracking through TCB! The card can be used to pay the bill and as mine is quarterly cash and cheque there are no payments as i have not shared any of my details with them! In fact they have not sent any bill through the post. Mine goes live next week! Sky charged me £3 to leave a month early so thats great!

Same here forgot to add bt tv as only a tenner set up! Done infinit 1 plus line rental but will add the tv later and get a deal!
Got £150 card plus £50 cheque plus £120 back from tcb already tracked! So £320 off worked out about £10 a month but payed the extra £2 so can pay my bill cash and cheque! Hope this deal helps out some people who have fairly fast standard broadband connections!

when did you get this? BT only doing £100 card now and why would you get £50 cheque?
That £100 on the mastercard can't be used to bring your bill down though? Or it can, but only once you get it - which means you have to sign up with one card and have a couple of payments come out and then change the card on your account to the mastercard when it comes. Bit of a faff. This time last year Sky just reimbursed the funds straight onto your account.
Interesting

This game really divides opinion. I'm still loving it even after dozens of hours and it hasn't been out of my PS4 since the day of release. Whilst there are some aspects that need improving, the impossibly small indie company that made the game have already released 4 updates since it came out. They really do care about the game and want it to be the best it can be.
Here's the latest press release that shows that they are listening to the critics, which is more than you would get from Ubisoft or EA. http://www.no-mans-sky.com/2016/09/development-update/
Heat from me.
That press release shows nothing, they are still avoiding answering questions about all the missing features and misleading marketing, Sean Murray has pretty much disappeared from Twitter and again is also avoiding anwering questions from the press.
They even have the balls the say "What matters now, as always, is what we do rather than what we say", umm no what matters most is talking and engaging with your fans, answering questions, not burying their heads in the sand like they have been doing, with all the lies they told leading upto launch, what they say matters way more.
You platinumed the game. How long did that take? And why would you spend so long on a game when you didn't enjoy it?

I never stated i didn't enjoy it, i said the first few hours are fun and then it gets repetitive, its still enjoyable to a degree but its no worth the price they sold it for in its current state, that;s why i would suggest waiting a year so they can add back in everything the chopped out.

The Platinum is really easy and took me about 15 hours cumulative, i also stuck with the game as i wanted to get to the centre.............................my advice is don't bother, its an insult and pointless

Same here. Got it second hand for £38 after release played the hell out of it as I found it super relaxing and then sold for £25 back on eBay. After 20+ h of gameplay you will find nothing to do as there is not as many things to do as in Minecraft. At the current state this is by no means a AAA game. For those who haven't played yet... I'd wait for the sub £20 price bracket :{
The first few hours of this game remain some of the most 'wow' inducing moments in my 30+ years of gaming, however that soon makes way and the ennui sets in when you realise its just stripped down and offers less 'free' exploration than a game like Minecraft. I would say if youve remained free of the videos and go in with an open mind its worth £10-15 to experience the first flight out into the enormity of space for the first time.

Our local CEX is trying to flog preowned copies for £45 still, given the mountain of them on the shelves in there can't see that happening!
That's most likely because they were offering £37 for a couple of weeks after release, only lost the price of a rental by trading it in :)
but certainly not for any kind of marathon session
Tell that to my friends who play it :|

i meant for me personally. Anyone else who can enjoy marathon sessions on this game, more power to them I say!!

Claims to be 70mbps but only 37-45mbs on a very good day.

How would a Sky Fibre Pkge compare, does anyone know?

Love these titanic Sky threads.
It's either happy happy happy or wind 'em up n watch 'em go!
Lol
I love HUKD...❤

Yes, guys. Obviously, I meant I got line rental free. I was trying to make it clear that I wouldn't have pay the line rental fee on top of the £10.
my brother works for sky. You MUST have line rental to get bb/fibre. Unless you got free line rental for 12m, you will be paying £17.40pm.
When I sorted out a deal last week with Sky the guy applied an offer to my Fibre unlimited for £10 a month for life, well till 2099. As long as I keep Sports ill always have £10 Fibre unlimited.
I called Sky yesterday to see what deal they could give me as there are plenty of good deals around at the moment. I was paying £57.90 for Line Rental + Talk Anytime Extra (i think - the £8 one) + Call Divert + Fibre Pro. The guy said he couldn't do anything for the Talk package and call diversion but was able to offer me £7.40 off the line rental and £10 off the fibre.

So I'm now paying £40.50 per month. The £17.40 combined discount is equivalent to just not paying line rental, which I'm quite happy with. I could probably have got better if I persevered though.
