For anyone still looking at this deal, they do seem to **** up (mobiles.co.uk) when setting the price for your monthly bill. It may be £37 (as in my case) or the reduced £22.20 as it should be.

The way it works is that they have a direct line for setting up discounts with vodafone plans and they have the ability to apply a 40% discount on the £37 rate (which is the plan mobiles.co.uk has access to, not the one you see on vodafone's website). Some how they seem to fail at this sometimes and people end up with the £37 monthly bill.

They are apparently investigating this so I'll be waiting for a fix and not cancelling just yet. (You have 14 days)

This info may sway your decision, especially with the customer services at mobiles.co.uk being contactable via premium rate line.

One extra bit of advice: you may be better off waiting before transferring your number. If you get stuck with a £37 bill and then have to transfer your number back over this could be a bit of a customer service nightmare for you.

Edited By: mchairmaster on Aug 25, 2016 15:51
4 separate people at Vodafone advised that the £37 tarrif error needs to be resolved by mobiles.co.uk..

And so commences the run-around. Wish me luck. :D
was tempted to buy this deal yesterday, however quickly did s speed test with my personal EE phone and the vodafone work phone choosing the same server at 11pm in surrey. the results were shocking - while EE registered 65mbps, vodafone was 3mbps. although both the phones were showing LTE/4G+ sign.

glad I didn't make that purchase, will wait for deals around cyber Monday.

Has anyone with this deal managed to activate the spotify/now TV. Went through the text message I received and it would only give a chargeable option. Called 191 customer services and they said that the account did not include the entertainment pack

I received the sim, activated it in the phone and left it for a day or so to "settle in". I wanted to activate the entertainment pack before porting my number in case it caused any problems not recognising my account. Still no text from Vodafone about the entertainment so I did what was already suggested on here. Text "ENTERTAINMENT" to 97613 and you are sent a link to click which takes you to a Vodafone web page to set it up. Whether it makes a difference or not but I already had the Spotify app installed running my free version. Clicking through the link it recognised my free account and set up my free 12 months in that account straight away. Funny thing was I received a confirmation text from Vodafone afterwards saying it was all set up successfully through to Aug 2018, not 2017!

Doubt very much that's the case as my Vodafone paperwork says 2017 but I will be keeping my eye out with interest next year.

I might have been lucky but my discounted rate was all clearly specified and my bill next month says £22.20 coming out so happy days.

Just have to hope the redemption is painless.

Vodafone live chat said to contact Mobiles, Mobiles said to contact Vodafone, Vodafone live chat then applied a discount but the wrong one and did not adjust the first bill...then i called Vodafone and got a very helpful person who has sorted it out.
My bill now shows the same as in this post: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/vodafone-20gb-sim-only-12mth-contract-22-20-p-m-10-50p-m-after-poss-cashback-total-2487149?p=28533444
Edit: The problem was Mobiles didn't correctly set up the 40% discount on the sim when dispatching it (though they blamed Vodafone, which is clear isn't the case).
At least it's sorted. My billing is fine going though as £22.20. Just no sign of the entertainment pack. Even though Vodafone text me telling me not to forget to activate it about 2 weeks into the contract
If it helps, on my bill it (pdf) it reads: "unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 20GB data, 4GB inclusive roaming data, Inclusive roaming calls texts and picture messages, with 12 months Entertainment".
I just set up activated my spotify premium here (there are nowtv/sky options too): http://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/music-tv-and-sports/spotify/
Just checked the pdf says 12 months entertainment included. But it's still trying to charge me for spotify. Did you transfer your number over? Don't know if that might have caused problems and the number on the pdf is the one that came with the sim

No not yet (it's just arrived, and they don't port over weekends so i've not put the request in). Either way, good news that it's on your bill...should just need to call them up once more with that info.

Anyone getting the CE-36329-3 error when playing this?
I've had one game freeze in about 8 hours of play. Can't remember the error code, but it blue screened and closed the game back to the dashboard after about 30 odd seconds of complete freeze.
I've had the freezes /errors quite a few times so I did a back up and then initialize the PS4. It was fine the first time I played. Then this morning right on the starting loading screen I got a different error - CE-34878-0. Loaded again and it was fine but I doubt it will stay fine. This is unbelievable. I am reading horror stories that these errors won't go away and eventually will need to fork out for a new one seeing it's 17 months since I bought it grrrrr.
I had a lot of problems (lock-ups, crashes, 10-second freezes) with my PS4 a little while back but I haven't had a problem since swapping out the HDD for a 2TB one.
The firmware installed on the HDD was suffering due to bad blocks which the PS4 was unable to detect or remedy.

Thanks if everything else fails I will try that.

For those playing with the official headset - there is a preset for this on the headset companion app.

I hope GOG are bringing other classic Microprose games to their catalogue like European Air War, F-14 Fleet Defender and M1 Tank Platoon etc.

I ordered this deal on the 20th July, with an install date of August 7th - 8am-1pm which was 2 and a half weeks notice.
I got an e-mail the day before the installation date to say they have changed the time to 12pm to 5pm.
Then today no one shows up! We rang twice, and they said the engineer is on his way. Then we rang at 7pm after an engineer still didn't turn up. On the phone they said the engineers finish at 6pm! Now I am fuming! No contact from Sky, and a wasted day at home waiting for them to turn up.
Now the next installation date they have is 24th August which is 2 and a half weeks away!!
Does anybody know how I can complain?
Beware of Sky, and their failed promises!

So those who are voting cold, help a brother out. I'm cancelling Sky Fibre this week because of there less than helpful service... Please suggest deals better than this one...
I've just gone for the ee offering after only being able to haggle BT down to £39.50.
Its 38 meg 18 month contract and with inclusive : Anytime landline calls / 1500 minutes mobile calls / calls to landlines in 40 countries my package came at £34 per month.
I managed to shave another couple of £ per month off by going for the 18 month line rental prepay option.
There is also £73.50 Topcashback.
Apart from the included mobile minutes you also get 5gb data added to your contract if you have an ee mobile.
So to summarise my deal is:
£16.50 per month for the broadband & inclusive landline/mobile calls and the extra 5gb on my mobile.
£283.50 single payment for 18 months line rental (equivelant to £15.75 per month).
Minus the £73.50 cashback & I will have paid £28.17 per month over the 18 months.
With the inclusive mobile minutes and extra 5gb on my mobile I think its a good deal.
It does include a £6 discount for the 1st 18 months.
** I might even be able to wangle the £50 credit they offer if you leave your current provider while in contract and incur a termination charge. I still have 5 weeks in contract with BT but on checking with them I should only be charged £3 or £4 for leaving early!
Soooo... Simple enough then =P

If I can get my head round it anyone can :-)

Check it out here https://broadband.ee.co.uk

Then the time they done I will just cancel it! It's all done through the box so seems like it might be an ongoing thing so happy days don't mind paying that a month for it!

I've had both and nearly 2 years ago cancelled my contract with them and now just buy movie passes (when they are on offer). The movies & quality are EXACTLY the same as you get on contract and the interface is very good. Couldn't comment on sports other than seems pricey in comparison to contract but you'd expect that. It may not work out so good for you if you need sports, movies & kids. Might be worth negotiating with Sky about your contract!

You do realise the BBC had the rights to this year and decided themselves to give The Open up a year early?
Sky are already doing a far better job with their coverage. The price of a couple of pints will let you watch all four days oh Now TV or get a monthly pass which works out at just a pound a day.

Sky outbidded them so they were going to have to end it anyway, and I haven't watched the Sky coverage (and never will) so I don't know how good it was but the BBC's was fine and I'm not sure how it could be improved to be honest. Also the day pass is £9.99 so it's really expensive to watch it all, especially if you're not interested in sky's other sport coverage

Not sure why you say you'd never watch Sky coverage. It's free today and it's £10.99 for a 7 day pass for all Sky Sports channels on Now TV so no idea where you're getting that price you mentioned from.

The BBC didn't give the tournament full coverage. Sky have showed the full day right from the very first tee shot this morning. The BBC never did that.
Added it and saving it, not wasting it on the golf (I have sky sports so don't even need the code) but redeemed it cos you just never know!

Most providers offer either up to 38mbps and 76mbps. BT offer 52mbps and 72mbps it is sometimes cheaper To go with another provider for your Broadband than do both with Sky. I got my BT infinity for £10 a month and £18.99 line rental but when I checked today it's £15. Have a look on money supermarket and it will compare and find you the cheapest when you go to the providers website and type your phone number in then it'll give you an estimation on what your speeds will be.

My current deal is coming to an end. I was getting the full TV package including broadband and line rental for £40. That was an exclusive deal through MSE. I called up last week to renew and the best they would offer me was £90 per month; so I cancelled. Today, I entered the online chat and got the full TV package for half price by mentioning this code. I now pay £40 for my TV and have moved elsewhere for broadband. All in all I'm only paying £10 more per month which I am happy with.

is this game any good?

Play GTA V then play this, you won't play this for long, that's your answer.
is this game any good?
He's talking about Gat out of Hell, which I've heard middling things about.

Saints Row IV proper, on the other hand, is pretty fantastic. Disregarding a great deal like this because one of the extras tacked on to it apparently isn't that hot would be insane.
Saints row is a good game. What do u mean 'avoid'? I recommend playing it
pazuzu17
I tried it as a 'free' option since it arrived on PS Plus in the last few days. Spent about 30 mins at it....bloody awful. Avoid, seriously.

You mean, the expansion which isn't Saints Row 4 and just a small standalone expansion.

I take it you've never played saints row before

Great deal for some cheap polyester work slacks if you are in the market, cotton for me though I sweat enough lol heat tho!
Why do they call them "slacks"....they're never slack round my ample waist! oO

I dunno, my granny always used to call them slacks about M&S trousers, maybe a upper class term ? It was jeans and trousers everywhere else lol
mcormack
My dad had a pair of these when he was a bus conductor and they lasted until he retired.
The stitching around the fly is a favourite design for bus conductors. "Tickets Please!"

I don't get it.

No size 30 waist - :(
Sorry mate, we're in the minority now. Once upon a time 30 waist was the norm, then the fast food boys came over and Billy Bunter is now the norm!
Funny, plenty of 28 waist though, that's those that don't eat anything. LOL!
Also, cold deal for me - it's not even half price (normal price 12.50) - earlier in the year M&S had jeans at 4.99 down from 29.50.
If your size is still showing, hang on. The 70% sale will be along shortly. Why? M&S trading results (like many) are in the ****! So it's a buyer's market. Good!

UK average waist size is 36"
Scottyland is 38" -far too much haggis and not looking like the average european

Any comments on this Samsung for 270 from argos? http://www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/4113924.htm
i find the actual wash of my hotpoint very good especially short washes and it is easy to look after. is really quiet. i dont expect many brands to last very long these days so keep insurance on them which i factor in to budget. i have found bigger load machines with lower programmes the best for reliability though i do need the bigger drum. i dont deal with hotpoint or like but ins company and dont have a problem. i think it is the dryer situation that caused the problem not the washers imho. i had my dryer replaced not repaired and both going grand from hotpoint group.

I recently took one of these apart, only to find a massive block of concrete sitting at the bottom of it :|
Every machine I've ever seen has a large block of cement (or whatever) it's used to stop the machine moving across the floor when spinning.

I was surprised to see one - makes sense :)

I think hotpoint is now part of Philips who have had a disaster over their tumble dryers catching fire, absolutely thousands still out there putting lives at risk. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

Nothing to do with Philips. owned by Whirlpool
My wife will be more than happy to take my load now

Isn't that the definition of flip flops? To have a bit between the toes?

Nooooooo, that is a tanga flip flop !

I've had mixed experiences with Tokyo Laundry. All the T-shirts I've had have been fine but the polo shirts were awful (misshapen and shrunk after one wash).

Received a cancellation email this morning
Just got me refund email. This company have only served themselves to look like complete and utter TW ATS, and I shall most certainly not be buying anything from them in future. If it was a PR stunt, It's gone badly wrong I'm afraid. Embarrassing to say the least.
