Pailt Jetstream Nvidia 1060 6gb graphics card - £238.97 @ ebuyer
Found 8 h, 26 m agoFound 8 h, 26 m ago
Bought one of these from overclockers for same price including delivery about two weeks ago and been looking for more.

Yes true from that perspective I’m still unsure if I wait or buy now haha. £259 is a lot for something that should realistically be £170 like you say and maybe even less if the new series comes out. My question would be - what’s the difference with all these different makes like ASUS and MSI and gigabyte and stuff?

Sorry, not an expert. There’s a cheaper 1060 on amazon warehouse deals just now, also 6gb. Condition described as ‘acceptable ‘. I bought a ‘good’ one recently and it was immaculate. Warehouse deals have decent warranty and returns policy. Could be worth a punt. Check reviews online first.π=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=gtx%2B1060&th=1&psc=1

Find a rumour intimating when the global shortage on DRAM will end, that's when prices on GPUs will drop. Realistically, this GPU should be priced at £170! When you think you can get a PS4 - a complete gaming machine with CPU, PSU etc all included, with AAA games thrown in for that sort of price, it puts the price of PC GPUs in to perspective.

:/NO , i'd wait for the 11xx series .. massive power increases over the existing two year old designs, your 660ti is already owned by the Binsling corp. (embarrassed) No I don't really know .. NVidia have a huge backlog of GPU's to sell , so they may delay release till they can ascertain what demand will be like Gamers VS Crypto etc .Xmas is coming tho .. preceded by Black Friday .. but then again the £GBP vs EUR vs $USD may be in a dire straits by then :/ PS I am awaiting my free TITAN CEO

Do you mind if I pick your brain about the card if that's OK as you sound like you know what you're on about! I saw this one on Amazon: how does it compare to the one OP linked? What are the differences between all these brands selling the same card as its a bit confusing!? My 600ti looks to have already bottomed out on ebay haha, would get £20- £30 if I'm lucky!

Pretty sure the Xbox One S has both the 4K Blu Ray and 4K streaming, it is the cheapest way of getting a 4K player, a bit of a bargain!

Can i turn this into something amazing like the iptv? PLease let me know i always see these on HUKD but not sure what i would need it for when i already have a Smart TV/

Got an MSI Aero 1070 (blower style) for £318.50 this morning - patience pays off! AMD didn’t bother competing and the 1000-series are the most efficient cards you can buy right now, they’re actually at a reasonable price at the moment. Some people don’t want to wait months to play the latest games, or you can buy a card now and also buy a card when the new ones come out - they’re not mutually exclusive!

Those saying wait for the next gen... what if you need a GPU now? Plus even if the 1180 is any good (and it takes a while for reviews to filter through) there is no guarantee it will be available at sensible prices for some time to come. This is one of the cheapest 1080s out there at the moment and it happens to be a decent card as well. Only downsides are that it is very thick and hogs basically 3 slots of the mobo.

Yeah I heard the same. I think it will be interesting nonetheless as we haven’t had much exciting PC news as of late. I hope it’s sometime this year, surely they can’t stretch GeForce 1000-series for 3 years (lol)

Latest rumours are GTX 1180 to launch end of July. Still rumours though unfortunately.

Paid £750 for a new GTX 1080Ti about a year and half ago, seems like a good deal now looking at prices of GPUs considering, heat for the deal too btw.

What are the Parental Controls like on this? They were supposed to be available on Virgin Superhub 3 but seem very fiddly to use if not impossible, and the ones I have set up don't seem to work. Just to stop my son being playing Fortnite/watching videos about playing Fortnite 24/7. Also does it work well with Amazon Echo? I had to separate out the two bands on the Superhub and disable the firewall before Alexa would come out to play.

That's just my prejudice against TalkTalk routers - I wouldn't trust them to be reliable at anything and given that a BT modem is so cheap off eBay...

argh noooo I missed it ;(

price is up now to £99.98

Yes to both. You can use this in conjunction with your ISP-issued hub as both current hubs for TalkTalk and Virgin allow for bridged mode (modem-only mode). Set this router to Dynamic IP as your WAN connection type, connect it to your ISP-issued hub in LAN port 1 and you should be golden.

I really like it , I have been using mine a lot for 3 months now but noticed this will be a problem it will loose it waterproofing if this peels off more ...

Got one, been waterproof on walks in heavy rain. I dont use on the bike but the zip is concealed against your back, it's padded so you shouldn't feel it but don't put too much in incase.

I've not been caught in really torrential rain yet but they've kept the contents dry so far. I'm using mine for when I'm away overnight with work, just the one bag for laptop and change of clothes, and walking between hotel and office. So not on a bike lol

Oops sorry mate (skeptical)

Any real benefits to rooting it for the light user just use mine for kodi / terrarium / iplayer / youtube ?

OP, you've cost me £1.33...its now even cheaper! :-)

Good point, it is a real PITA having to have my sole laptop permanently tethered to a 12m USB cable and 2 5gb hard drives haha. £170 for convenience of liberating my laptop from its copper tentacles actually sounds attractive. Nvidia are a great company.. The 1050ti in lappy plays 4k well.. I'd just be paying Nvidia even more money now for what is effectively a glorified chrome cast.. Which is what my Microsoft Display Adapter was for if it wasn't coded so badly hahaha (hence the 12 meter hdmi cables lol). Nvidia I would trust. Smooth solution. I'd pay perhaps £100 to rid the hdmi shackles. But @ £170 I guess the real value if for those without 4k output. Ironic that if their laptop gfx cards weren't so good I'd be buying this Nvidia product! That said I'd bet the 1050ti and shield would hook up really well. Probably on wishlist for black Friday now I think about it. Thanks for the clarification

Well come come the Doctor had a Daughter? Be strange if he re-generated into a Dalek. Saving the Universe with a sink-plunger. Too much humour in DW, the original series were more serious and I got sick of the last companion hanging from the Tardis without a care in the World. Still, it's not as good as Star Trek since they have a lot more writers. I'd like to see the bbc shut down and let Netflix make DW.

What makes you think Time Lords have either anyway, or not both? PS. The Doctor is at least 4.5 billion (Earth) years old.

Yea should be in black and white still like the Hartnell/Troughton episodes.

Full gender (I mean all 3/4) and colour equality will eventually ruin such shows I think

Great for gaming Great for mining Great if you're realistic and aren't expecting miracles and massive price drops with the forthcoming new release cards.
DrTraktor Gamerock technicaly the same card with different colour, 1080Ti Superjetstream 49 degrees under benchmark, coolest 1080Ti out there. " The absence of a killer feature and the two-year warranty hold it back from our top award, but it's well deserving of the Extreme badge for now". Please show me ANY 1080 what is cheaper, but better in temperature and noise. Even the evga SC 1080 is no match to the Jetstream.

I have a Palit 1070 and it has been a good card so far.

To those stating that the Palit is better, why not link to a review to help people as just saying it's better is a bit random.

I agree, but most people only look at price to determine the winner. It's unfortunate because this model is IMO a better buy than the other options, even if it is 20 pounds more.

That Palit version beats them all in terms of temperature and noise. Had a gtx 1070 jetstream, overclocked the hell out of it, still stayed almost silent and less than 70 degrees, replaced by an evga sc 1080, much louder, and at least 10 degrees higher even on vanilla clocks. Yes, it's thick. Yes, only 2 years warranty. Please buy it, anytime i give my evga 1080 for it:)!!!!!!!!

Great, shall be upgrading my old Roku with this tomorrow now. Thanks for the heads up OP.

Problem with Roku is, while it has all the apps, the apps are poorly built. For example, the Prime Video app is abysmal on Roku in comparison to the higher quality Xbox/PS ones. This is why I returned my Roku.
