they seem to be doing some 50p reductions instore daily .. I got some toys and gardening items marked down to 50p.. so worth popping into your local if its on your way. I got miracle-gro 1L at 50p on wednesday which was an absolute bargain but by the time i was in next day to pick up more there were only around 3 left - so going very quickly!

Big Clive waterproofs firefly lights
Have to disagree with the other posts, these really are not worth more than a quid. The whole thing is made from cheap and nasty plastic and the tiny solar panel is right underneath the small hook it hangs from, so unless you hang them from a piece of string they'll likely not get enough light to last very long. I can see why they've ended up in poundland.

If you wait a month or so they will gradually go down in price £2-3 off at a time. If you are lucky / near a less-popular branch might drop below £5 (of course the dream is £1 or even better 10p but this sort of thing gets snapped up before it gets that low).

We the staff get them at £1 or 10p lol

Haha I know. Missed out on the 10p scooter a year or so ago when a staff member took the last 3 off the shelf and walked off and stashed in the back room just as I was approaching to nab them

These would be rotten at Christmas due to no sun to charge them up!
Not that I'm agreeing with Agent007's before comment or anything?, but .....
When do we ever have any Sun at all?. :-(

Solar panels work off light not the sun.
.............and we get daylight from the sun ......its the sun that charges them up........duh. I'm competent enough to know how solar panels work. If its been a dull day my solar lights dont come on. It would be VERY RARE to get solar lights working through the winter
The sun doesn't have to be shining on the panels.

Thanks OP
When your in Poundland get a tube of clear silicone sealant and waterproof them with that. I've had 2 of these lights now for about 3 months still going strong. I've used the sealant on the other lights I have just put it around the solar panel edge area and any other obvious places rain can get in and these ones in particular put a little hole in the base of the bulb for rain to run out if it gets in.
I have had 6 of the bulb version for 2 months.Cover the solar part with cellotape as rain can get in,Once done they are fine.Well worth a pound each.

I've ALWAYS wondered about that?, why have 'Weather Products', when the main key/element of their being, eg. 'Weather', they're not capable of?, I mean .....

Like making a Hydro Damn, then it rusting in simple Rain Water! (not even Sea Water yet?).

What's the point ..... :-(

Lol.

Weatherproof I think is what they meant.
Was £7.99 a day or 2 ago on Amazon deal - I'll get the DeLorean and prime the flux capacitor...

These are good lights, they look and work well, but this price is a bit steep. Thanks OP

Why would anyone buy a light for a pound, cut a hole in their decking to fit it!? When it breaks, what would you fill the hole with?!?'

Worse than useless as you will have drilled a big hole in your deck before it stops working.
Might as well throw your money down the drain..
Sorry - but these are really poor.
