Terrible product, their worst by far.
    avoid at all costs.

You can’t control the PIR sensor which will be triggered by things outside of the area you want to monitor.
This then massively drains the battery to a point that the unit needs to be recharged via wall plug or you need to disable the light.

Mine gets full sun daily but needs to be recharged every week. (edited)

I will post here what I said on the other thread....

Got 2 of these, 1 in the back garden and 1 down the side of the house.

Battery life is great, charged them to full with USB and only had to charge the one down the side of the house in winter.

Light is great, only stays on for the duration that motion is triggered.

Don't see what the issue is? People obviously using them in the wrong places.

Moved house recently and put this one up over a month ago...

The issue is that there’s no link between the PIR sensor and the light.

you can’t tell the light to only trigger if there’s activity in the area selected. The PIR will trigger the light even outside of the area you’re looking at because the PIR has a pretty decent range.

its a poor device and they do better solar powered camera there.

it would be decent if the activity zone controlled the light but it doesn’t.

Is there a wired version of this or can this be wired in?

Anybody looking to spend under £30 or under £40 for a solar-charged solution with inclusive and decent-sized/spec remote solar panel for best solar capture positioning could consider two random options below.

Check the non-sub features will satisfy expectations for the purchase price,
and arguably the £39.99 pan+tilt+zoom offers best value as it provides not only an inclusive 64GB storage card for on-cam storage but also free ongoing rolling event cloud storage.

May need to click through to listing page to see the on-page discounts / promos.

Seems kinda expensive for what it is, even with that branding.

Currently same price from Argos, Currys or Eufy

I have one on my shed, works well and light a good brightness. I had to adjust it slightly as the overhang from the shed was shading the solar panel too much but I can see from the app its been at over 80% for the last 30 days even though set to optimal surveillance rather than optimise battery. Thats in the midlands. (edited)

Agreed these are shockingly bad. To run you have to have everything on minimum settings otherwise be prepared to take down and charge. Mine arrived with the screw to hold the unit on the back plate too long which meant it jacked the female thread insert so even after removing the screw the units would not come off without force. They sent me a bag of screws and fair play to them, a free replacement unit.
