It'll be incredibly slow to charge though, that shows current at 0.08amp .....so solar will take a few weeks to charge it up I reckon. Might be useful in the warmer countries but most of these solar battery packs aren't realistically much use, many don't even have real panels on them

No need to expose your political and economic ignorance on a deals site - best to keep it for your next Momentum meeting.

Mine got cancelled this morning. Anyone else?
I bought something simmilar last year and they are brilliant little lights (still going now) however do bear in mind that as you get closer to christmas there is less daylight and also the light intensity decreases so they don't actually last very long... they are much better for summer evening lights than Christmas ones...
These are usually in the region of £6-£7 each which is what I paid for mine. Great item, but as above only really work in the summer
I bought these in July and have to say I was very impressed as they last most of the night. Unfortunately winter time is completely different. If they come on at all you are lucky if you get a couple of hours out of them. I get an hour at the most (and I've repositioned the solar panel numerous times). If you want a Christmassy effect these will disappoint. Heat for summer use, Siberian for winter!
Thanks, ordered for Xmas and remember to redeem the £5 voucher. Warmth added (which is quite rare for me).

I have bought numerous packs (and individual ones) over the past few years - all worked well to start with, but none have lasted more than a year or 2.
Very disappointing given the 'green' overtones - SOLAR powered, yet they seemed deliberately designed to be a throw-away item. I spend about £10 - £20 a year just to replace the ones no longer working.
Can anyone recommend something which actually lasts?

thanks

These are rubbish, do not buy.

these can be great if, like me, your street lights are turned off at midnight and you can't find your own path. that said, the postman seems to have stumbled and broken most of them, with the help of wine-sloshed friends leaving my house
I bought the stainless steel crown lights and they are very bright but unfortunately 1 doesn't work so will be returning and hoping exchange.
Since my 3Kw spot is overkill I might get some of these- however similar ones are 2 for a £1. Both B&M & Homebase sell the 600mAh green sleeved solar light batteries in packs of 4 (I got mine when they where 50p!) - handy to extend the on time of these...
