All Solar Lights Discounts, Offers and Sale - September 2018
Christmas?..You mean Summer..Solar lights=Summer
Festive? That'll be another cold vote :p
You might be surprised at how well these do work. I've had a set of these, with the white bulbs, for a few years.
Solar lights... Not Christmas lights... Good luck powering those in the winter when we get 20 seconds of sunlight (cheeky)
It’s NEVER to early for the C word - bring on the festivities 🎄🎄🎄
Think fire flys in a jar.
I had the same issue with the single solar light bulbs from pound shop same design , i just heated up a needle at the bottom to make a small hole which you cant see to let the water out , really badly designed .
These are rubbish. One small led at the top of each bulb. Taking mine back. The B&M Bargain ones are good with several LED's per bulb. Very bright and long lasting.
i bought similar to these from Asda and both sets stopped working, the bulbs actually filled with water believe it or not.
Solar bulbs but Batteries required: 1 x AA Batteries Included?
Why do they have batteries too if solar, as a back up for the light?;
Reserved some thank you!
Thanks op ordered 4 sets
I paid £4 for these a couple of weeks ago. They were worth the money then so I'll be ordering some more. Thanks OP! 😻
Thanks Op, the wife loves these sort of things so reserved 2 sets. Heat from me.
Agreed, people who buy them will be lucky if they're still charging and working in 6 months
These are the same run of the mill cheap plastic rubbish lights that dont actually light anything up. Mostly just decorative.
I don't have these exact ones for by some steps by the path and they are pretty rubbish light wise. Really only decorative - are these any better? Do they cast enough light to be useful?
Cheap. Normally rust and die. Batteries are patheticly poor quality.
Thanks. Still some in Asda Crewe. Owls £0 .63, birds £1.25.
During the day they are off and during the night they are on?
What's multi-functional about them?
cheers justin, wondered when they were going to reduce these in hunts cross (highfive)
Should be keep checking hunts cross asda only just put them down been that price in other asdas for days
Sadly nothing like this at my store.
Alls that is left in HX now is lots of the plastic plates for 63p, some odd garden/ camping items that wierdly have never been reduced and a few kids bits. Managed to get some solar deals when they got reduced in July though. Thanks OP
Great if there is any left, mines nearly sold out of BBQ , Garden and Campiing stuff. Thanks for posting op.
Dyslexics in Hunts Cross must have a terrible time on the phone (lol)
Valued correctly, 50p or below as they will work for a few weeks / months if lucky then die. Got a few strewn around my garden and I periodically pull out and bin and replace when at this price.
Someone was asking about Asda Benton. Just been. None there unfortunately. Cheapest I could see was £1.50. Went to B & M's on Norham road and picked up a pack of 8 for £7.99 instead. Went to pound world as per someone else's suggestion and the shops been ransacked as it's closing down :(
bought similar ones in poundland and theyre fine
You can purchase ‘sticky stuff remover’, works an absolute treat.
I've always found these solar light stickers to be pretty permanent...so I've stopped trying to peel little bits off :(
the ones i bought from asda i couldnt get the sticker off the stick so they look really tacky, not sure which charlie brown thougth about putting them on them
collected these last week when on offer at £9.99, only 10 out of the 18 any good, stake quite flimsy also but still worth the money if you can get at this price
You sure? I thought I read that the price you pay is the price it is on the day you go to collect and pay?
Argos do honour prices, if you have the email reservation show them.
They were indeed. I reserved some last night to collect today. Needless to say i wont be now! Good spot tho OP. Just a shame Argos don't honour their prices when reservations are made.
They were 9.99 yester
I've "installed" my 18 lights in the garden....better than some previous versions. They are stainless steel shafts, standard black plastic stakes to push into ground, small led light illuminates frosted cone shaped shade. Rechargeable batteries are inside already....just flick switch to "on" and let them enjoy 8 hours sun before they gently light your path / pond etc at night. Not bright but very pleasant ! (highfive)
The sun charges the battery during the day and the battery powers the light when it gets dark. That's how solar lights work.
Presumably it's a rechargeable one and that's where it stores the solar energy to use at night? Otherwise i guess it would need it's own battery. Completely guessing here tho....
a noob question but why do they need the battery if they are solar? During night time? :/
Thank you just ordered heat added.
Got some of these last time, they look great :)
Good price - been looking for some of these for my driveway! Thanks for sharing, I'll be nipping to my local t'Asda tomorrow :)
Sorry Dad. I'll do it tomorrow after work as tonight I must watch Portugal - Spain :)
Gonna cut the grass kid?!
Check photos in previous comm. They are excelent for 5£. I would pay more than 5£ on them
Post pictures now of them switched on.
Not bright as these things always use the old first style less which were very dim. I don't know why I can't find these types of lights that use the newer surface mount LEDs which take the same power but a much brighter.
Nothing worth bothering with
Looks like some of them is back on C&C.
Free c&c for me. Thanks OP.
Guess John Lewis found out in advance how much free click and collect was effecting the business and started charging.
If you need it we can deliver it for you
How do I get it for that price? Showing 10.92
I ordered 2, 1 did not work. Sent it back and ordered another and still got to check it works. Nice and bright when they do work though, I've got one set to motion sensor by my back door.
Put them out now to charge and they will be good to go come September.
3 days in the sun to charge? I live in Manchester!! It’ll never be fully charged 😄
White still available 💖
Have then instore, just bought some. Thanks @Mysticaltopaz24
Thanks OP :)
Nice find @Mysticaltopaz24 (y)
Sun all day today. Rubbish, doesn't work sending it back.
Press and hold the button for 5s?
In the sun off and on today, still no go. Will see how it goes tomorrow.
Thanks, attempting to do so.
You need to charge it for around 6 hours (first time) before it turns on.
