Many poor reviews about fake fragrances on trust pilot!

My bottle arrived today. Doesn't smell anything like the original Boss Bottled or Boss Bottled Oud.

The opening is really medicinal which will be challenging for a lot of people. After about 20 minutes it settles down to a nice soft rose and saffron. This is very different to what I was expecting but I'm not getting any stale beer vibe thankfully.

Boss Bottled Oud has quite a lot of similarities to the original but this is completely it's own thing.

Seems to be one of those either you love it or hate it fragrances.
A lot of people saying it smells like stale beer.
A lot of the review videos who say they like it seem a bit disingenuous to me - almost as if they're frightened to annoy the fragrance houses.

If it were cheaper, I think I would blind buy it, but at this price point I'm gonna hold off.

I'm gonna continue reading and watching reviews, so I may change my mind lol.

It’s boring the amount of times it comes up that Notino are fake

The are one of the most successful beauty companies in Europe yet everyone seems to think they want to peddle out fakes

Apparently getting tricky to get hold of, it’s on clearance so wonder if Notino are getting rid of their stock? Meant to be really nice this one.

Stock up then if you like it! I saw on a USA scent video a few weeks back that this is getting rarer. Great price

I managed to get an unboxed bottle for just over £30 from eBay, should be here in the next couple of days.

Looking forward to seeing if it does smell like stale beer or not. I'll let everyone know.

Great price, regardless if you like it or not. Would have been all over this but just picked up Spicebomb extreme a few weeks ago and can’t justify having any more fragrances!

It's definitely not a typical designer fragrance.

Stick it on eBay or hold onto it for a few years and then sell it, it'll increase in value because it's been discontinued.

I've sprayed it about three or four times, so maybe it won't retain that much value. After a few years, the perfume will have broken down so I don't know how keen someone would be to buy it, especially after it's been opened and squirted a few times. I've never sold on a fragrance before, so no idea how it works and how popular it is.I'll look into it, mate, thanks. I was thinking of giving it another go, but the weather is warming up now so might not get much use out of it as to me it seems like a winter/autumn fragrance. Sometimes it takes a while to get used to a new smell, but I'll bear FB in mind, thank you.

You will likely get all your money back on this one or near enough as £41.70 for Oud Saffron is a good buy.

Perfume/fragrances do not expire, keep them stored in a dark and cool place and it will be as good now as in a few years times. It is rare that fragrances spoil, it can happen but its not very often. Also I hazard a guess there are not going to be a lot of naturals in any Hugo fragrance anyhow.

I sell used fragrances all the time on eBay and usually make my money back at least, sometimes make a profit. It depends on demand for stuff. I buy stuff just to try it and if I don't like it, it's stuck on eBay.

Versace The Dreamer and Moschino Uomo were recent ones I bought and wasn't all that into, bought them for about £15 each and sold them for about £20 each minus the postage/fees.

I have half bottles of stuff that's over 10 years old and it's just as potent, there's people out there looking for old formulations of stuff because scents tend to be made weaker/cheaper the longer they're on the market so there's sometimes demand for 'vintage' bottles.

I think you'll find a buyer for Oud Saffron fairly easily. I happen to quite like it but I can understand people finding it difficult to get on with. My main problem with it is finding the right occasion to wear it, it seems (like you said) a colder weather scent and one that's probably worn dressed up with a suit for a formal occasion, and that's not a situation I ever find myself in. It's similar enough to not own both. This definitely has that "stale beer" scent, though not my ideal choice of words being teetotal, but this is the only thing that sets it apart from the oud one. Of the 2 I'd really lean towards the oud one (if you can still get it..at a good price). I enjoyed this when I first received it as it was unique, but then hardly found occasion to wear it so flogged it. Perhaps get a sample first before committing to a bottle as it won't be to everyones liking.
