Not sure how these will sound but they seem to have banana plug connectors which is incredible at this price range.

Maybe get a cheap AV receiver on gumtree or see whats on sale at richersounds and a true 5.0 experience. The two front speakers deem to look like full range speakers so a dedicated subwoofer but not even be necessary for a lot of people.

Did a price search and these are £250 on eBay and other places so seems like a genuine bargain but can't comment on quality.

Explore the joys of home cinema heaven, with the Tibo Harmony 5 Pack.

Surround sound in a box – just add AVR
The Tibo Harmony Speaker 5 Pack gives your five, acoustically matched speakers, ready to go. Just add your choice of home cinema amp or receiver (AVR) and you’re ready for block-busting, surround sound.

Be surrounded by sound
A soundbar is often a big step-on a TV’s own speakers. But it’s no match for a full surround sound speaker set. With speakers at the back, a dedicated centre for dialogue and well-spaced left and right speakers at the front, you get fully enveloped by sound. If you want to hear sound effects whizzing around the room, then a multi-speaker package is still the best option to go for.

Bass to bring soundtracks to life
With two, powerful floorstanding speakers upfront, the Harmony Speaker 5 Pack Drives through the toughest soundtracks. Using double woofers and twin, front-mounted bass ports they effortlessly reach down to the lowest bass notes. It’s this bass that brings action soundtracks to life and means you get to feel the sound – just like at the cinema.

Clear dialogue
Using a dedicated centre speaker brings crystal-clear dialogue. This means that you no longer have to put up with mumbled dialogue that’s hard to pick out from the soundtrack. A dedicated centre speaker also clearly locates dialogue with what you see on the screen.
Take the next step up to cinema at home, with the Tibo Harmony Speaker 5 Pack.

Just some feedback now they're arrived and all set up in my gym..

They're great! They've achieved a substantial quality upgrade over my previous Pioneer satellites at a bargain price.

All the speakers are surprisingly large.

After much experimentation, I've set my AVR to 'small' for front, center and rears, while having retained the original Pioneer sub. I've set the crossover at 80. Happy days.

Just a note for everyone:- this is a bargain and I've bought a set! But why are they so cheap then?

Tibo went into voluntary liquidation in March 2022 and is being wound up. That means there cannot be any manufacturer based warranty or other comeback with Tibo if a fault develops; your only recourse would be with Richer Sounds.

So the price you see reflects Richer Sounds divesting of Tibo stock. (edited)

    Hi there,

Thanks for commenting on the deal, although I wanted to take the opportunity to clarify on the points you made.

Tibo Audio Ltd is still trading healthily as far as we understand it, any Tibo product purchased from us will carry a full one year manufacturer's guarantee.

They did tell us however that they have made some changes to one other non operating TIBO company, which is possibly what you are referring to.

I do hope that assuages any concerns customers may have, feel free to drop me a PM if you would like to discuss the matter further.

    Many thanks

You’re best bet would be to look for an AV receiver that has built in Bluetooth so that you can link it to your mobile so that you can play music….(y)

Some people pay more than this for a single speaker cable Looks fantastic value for money

Yes with the right used AV receiver off Gumtree or eBay these could be tremendous value for a true 5.0 setup with full range front L/R for deeper base. They might even sound better than some soundbars due to the much bigger driver size and larger cabinet but that's just speculation as lack of reviews on these

Any Sony AV 5.1 receiver would suffice... second hand is fine. They last for years and they produce excellent quality sound, along with good quality speakers. Don't recommend a cheap Chinese AV solution, stick to Japanese makes... Yamaha are very good too..

Has support for HDMI ARC so you should be able to get audio from your TV sent to this. No support for 4K but won't be necessary if you are using your smart TV or the HDMI connectors on your TV and passing audio though HDMI arc. The yamaha one that I sent is much better (WiFi, Spotify, more codec support, HDMI 2.0 4k 60hz, apple airplay, etc) but it's also more than double the price but comes with an unused remote as a bonus

Just got mine delivered, bigger than I thought - but the wife likes them. Need some banana adapters now, dont want to be pulling up cables as well! Front and centre speakers have banana sockets, rears have spring clips.

Just finished setting these up with a used Onkyo receiver and 12" Klipsch sub... it's a big step-up from my all-in-one 5.1 Sony system albeit twice as expensive in total. The towers can go down to around 40Hz, but I'd still highly recommend a subwoofer for movies. Great value for money!

What's a good AV Receiver to pair these with for an entry level
    Luckyfrog's avatar
    Luckyfrog Author
Personally at this price, I would look for a second hand AV receiver on eBay or gumtree. Set budget to £100 but I've seen some go for around £60 too that will work great with these. Make sure it's got support for HDMI arc and 4k and you're good to go.Check reviews obviously to make sure no bugs or software issues etc
These could potentially sound better than 300-500 soundbars but due to a lack of reviews is just speculation.

Haha look on eBay, check if there's any deals for decent AV receiver for this or gumtree for local deals. I'll set a budget of £60-100. As I've said these could potentially sound better than most soundbars in the 300-500 region but due to a lack of reviews I can't guarantee anything (I'm just going off how they look lol) but the big drivers and large cabinet for the front L/R is very promising at £100 and you even get a centre channel and rear surrounds. Make sure you buy cables for these as they aren't included.

    * I found a few used 4k arc av receivers on eBay for less than 100 before posting this deal but looks like they are all gone now so people are clearly listening (edited)

Thank you. Would it be fair to say I’m not looking for anything top of the range given the budget speakers? Or would a top avr produce better results than a budget one
    Luckyfrog's avatar
    Luckyfrog Author

    Replying to

Haha you need wiring too and you'll need a stand or a table or something to place the rear surrounds it's going to take work and effort but it should be worth it over a sound bar once you've set it all up

I have a Pioneer HTP-072 5.1 package in my gym; the receiver is a VSX324 AV.

Would it be worth buying these Tibo speakers be a worthwhile upgrade for it?
    Luckyfrog's avatar
    Luckyfrog Author

Yeh sounds like you know what you're doing, set the fronts to full range (large speakers) and turn off the subwoofer in the AV receiver settings unless you want to use a subwoofer! As for banana plugs yes you can unscrew and insert a bare wider under it and tighten the screw

I looked up the speakers you currently have and they seem tiny so it's highly likely these speakers will be a huge upgrade for you as they have much larger drivers and the front two speakers are full range plus the larger cabinet should all in theory amount to better sound

Set the rear and center channels to small (edited)

Just to report that given how impressive these speakers have been for the price point, I have splashed out on a new Tibo Sub 8 for £99 from Richer Sounds to give me setup some kicking bass

My current old passive Pioneer sub is weedy so this will be a welcome upgrade.

I fell for a cheap unknown name receiver once from Richer Sounds. £99 with spec like a £400 machine. Picked it up, plugged it in...and yeah, it went back in 2 days. Replaced with something more expensive but considerably better. Not saying these are rubbish, but often you do get what you pay for. Richer are good for returns though I think.
