Fantastic price for the Rab Mens Microlight Alpine Jacket (Zest) all sizes available at the time of posting. I have one and it's a great jacket.

Usual caveats with sportpursuit.com, you have to register with an email address to be able to veiw the site, I appreciate not everyone is happy with this, but great deal for those that are.

Personally I just have a second Gmail account for things like this and have purchased lots of outdoor clothing from sports pursuits, without issue.

Lots of other RAB clothing with 50% off retail.

Have one of these good jacket when it's chilly and you're off down town or the pub I wouldn't want to be relying on it if it's minus something up a mountain though, also get a few feathers on my every time wear it (edited)

You would use it in a layering system...

Will have a look at the rest of the items, thanks for posting.
For those wondering why people would buy these colours - if you're on a mountain and get into trouble then you don't want to blend in against the background if rescuers are looking for you!

What makes this a £200 coat? Honestly curious

Quality of design, build and materials. Pertex shield outer and real down filling. Althouth I wouldn't pay retail for one, always wait for sales.

Totes legit. Items can take a while to arrive, but we’ll worth the wait. I have bought lots of cycling and hiking gear from them over the years. Enjoy!

£145, (£130.50 with 10% off as a new customer via email) HUKD said I could not post this as despite being an international company 'Insufficient feedback readily available online (reviews etc)' was available. Strange decision.

That's a cracking deal. The ghost whisperer is one the best lightweight packable insulated jackets available

Has anyone ordered from these before? Are the products legit? It’s a bit strange that you have to give an email address to even browse. I’m tempted to put an order in but I’m a bit wary.

Absolutely legit, ordered too much from them over the years.

Having to sign up to the website is annoying! I just want to browse lol (edited)

I assume they operate this way due to the commercial relationships the brands they sell have with other regular retailers, they clear end of line / season items well below RRP, under cutting the likes of gooutdoors and cotswolds. It keeps the items out of reach of Internet search engines and price comparison sites.

Can anyone recommend a good waterproof version? I've had 2 in the past & they do keep water out until a set point. Then the pockets are like paddling pools!
    Sharkbait_'s avatar
Do you mean a insulated waterproof jacket? Or just a waterproof shell? (So no fill, just a thin waterproof layer).

If insulated - the Valiance jacket is the way to go (it'll be very warm mind).
If a shell - I'd actually look at another brand. I use a Fjern Orkan (bought from this same site) and it's been brilliant.

Also worth noting zips are rarely actually waterproof, so if you're getting just damp pockets, might be that.

    Not voting either way.

What a joke of a website and jacket looks horrendous.

Each to their own, personally I have purchased quite a lot of outdoor kit from them, without a single issue.

But I get people don't like giving out their email address

What a great find. I've now bought a few other things from the website since finding this post. Really appreciated.

Some belting deals on there especially for the men! Shame there’s no Kinetic Apline 2.0 for women as I wanted another. Greatest waterproof soft shell jacket I’ve owned.

I used to, but freezing all the time now since getting COVID. This is a great jacket but still need base layers. I have the red one, awesome :-)

Agreed. Particularly important in Peckham mid-January, snow drifts galore.

Still awaiting a refund from 4 weeks ago from.Sports Pursuit. My first and last order.

This is why I prefer to buy clothes from uk based stores which are easy to return/refund.

Just in regards to Fjern. I ordered direct from them instead. They have a 50% sale on at then moment to got a Arktis 2 down hooded jacket for around €20 more than it is on Sportpurist.  I’m happy to pay that little extra for buying direct from the brand and hopefully easier returns if needs be.

In case you are interested Fjern is a subsidiary of Sportpursuit
