sorted byTable salt is 97-99% sodium chloride and the rest being made up by a flow agent. The flow agents used are not beneficial to health as far as I know and may be flouride based which some people are sensitive to.
The 3% of beneficial minerals extracted from himalayan salt end up in foods like fortified breakfast cereals and health supplements and other products.
I make a himalayan salt brine by putting a kilo of HS in a 5 litre kilner drinks dispenser and topping it up with distilled water. After a couple of days the water goes clear and the impurities settle on the bottom. I then use the clear brine to season water for cooking rice, pasta and vegetables, they taste much better than using table salt and I'm adding trace minerals to the food. I could use maldon or Celtic sea salt but they cost a lot more.
I also make a kind of sole water by putting a bit of the brine in a 2 litre bottle of sparkling water and it is delicious. Tastes just like vichy catalan which is a spanish sparkling water. Give it a try!

Buy some normal good quality rock salt for your grinder, stop trying to be cheap, and eat more nutrient dense food once in a while like fatty fish or lamb.
This would be exceptionally cheap even for rock salt, you're asking for trouble thinking that the supposedly more "premium" himalayan salt could be anywhere close to being this price.
Oh and a side note, actual himilayan vs normal rock salts show that there's a tiny difference between them. It's essentially a marketing scam, as with all "fad" products.
Again, if you actually want the benefits that the minerals found in TRACE amount in these salts bring, eat some real meat and green veg. Otherwise it's just as effective as wrapping a chicken nugget in lettuce and thinking you're a healthy boi. (edited)
Thanks OP.
