    This is NOT real shortbread:

Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin), Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Butter (Milk), Salt, Raising Agent (Sodium Carbonates), Flavouring

Most of the butter has been replaced by vegetable oil. Butter is the ONLY fat in real shortbread.

Stopped buying them when they were repackaged with a lower volume and price went up.

I prefer the all butter shortbread in Aldi, 69p for 210g equals 99p per 100g, definitely a better option I think.

Yes Aldi's all butter shortbread is significantly better than this

Personally I found these really dry, and now I know why. The Lidl ones are nicer. These are not proper Scottish shortbread.

Burton's who now own them are playing on the Scottish bakery heritage.

All Burton's and McVities products have a lifetime ban in our house. (edited)
