"Man, games are amazing. Frame rate, what's that?"
Barely two years of playing some games at 60fps:
"60FPS OR I QUIT GAMING 4EVAR YOU HEATHENS"
I joke, but some people need to chill tf out. Games didn't suddenly become terrible because they only run at the same frame rate as games you were lauding over just a couple of years ago. Relax
Directly after we'd created some hilarious memories doing nearly everything there was to do in that game, I jumped onto Yakuza 0. This game has a lot less going on, so was able to run at 1080p60 I'd imagine, cos I noticed it was absolutely smooth as butter. It was around the time I bought a new tv too.
I then went back to Gta Online and honestly, it felt unplayable. The slowdown and dropped frames in the game when I was going at top speed in my Grotti RSX actually made me sad. I was like "this can't be the same game I was playing last month?". Didn't play it again until I got a Series X.
Having said that, I then was accidentally playing on fidelity settings instead of performance rt for about a week until my mate pointed it out. I was so thankful that the game was actually playable, that I didn't notice it was only running at a solid 30fps instead of the 60 it could do. So turns out I don't even know what I'm looking at half the time
So yeah you're absolutely right, in conclusion. I love games like Mega Man 2, and that slowed down to a standstill at times. Added to the charm! But I blame the ever-improving hardware for turning me into a graphics snob (edited)
At least then the conversation will be about whether the game is worth playing and not about MS extending their record of being utterly incompetent.
Can you tell the difference between night and day?
I'm not sure I'd be able to tell immediately between 30 and 60 on anything but OLED.
I play games like this so going to 30fps is the least of my problems with redfall
The wasy some ppl are complaining you'd think all the games they've played in thier life is in 60fps
Can't wait.
I'm not expecting glowing reviews though - It's going to disappoint some traditional Arkane fans, no doubt.
Going haaaaard on fighting games
Despite its initial 30 frames per second offering, Redfall is set to provide a unique experience for action shooting fans.
Why Redfall May Be One of the Biggest Games of the Year

The Last Case of Benedict Fox - Launch Trailer
I actually have no interest in Redfall, but whilst I get the criticism, a good game is a good game. That said, I have no idea if it's actually good.
