We’ve had this a few years too, back up and on again for this year already and with almost daily use it’s still going strong! Highly recommend… we bought an additional thermal cover online elsewhere for £60 and in the summer it barely loses any temp. Keep ours about 34 and turn it up lunchtime for evening use, still on a fixed elec plan so might not use so much next year!

Had this 2 years not too bad , but how anybody can afford to heat them and use them with the cost of energy currently is beyond me, had it up for 2 weeks last year over April/May and it cost more than the full 2 months I had it up for the year before in the same period.

Try heating at night on a cheap EV tariff and super insulation it
OR buy a thermally lined wetsuit

I have this and great price! We heat it 12-4am offpeak and have it insulated in a wooden surround with a covered bit of insulation board on top. Costs about a quid daily (when not used/heated up for evening use). Ideally would get a ‘hot tub heat saver’ but too pricey for me atm.

Hey sc03tye, how do you set the heat to only operate during those hours?

I dont think these are the future. Much better a diesel-powered one..
    Like EVs they are doomed..

We have a hot tub but are too afraid to turn it on with the electric prices through the roof

What is a typical daily consumption in kwh? Does someone know?

Depends on how often you use it. Its 2.2 kWh, so at 30p per kWh, its 60p an hour. Rule of thumb is that it heats about 2 or 3 'c an hour, so if you fill it up with cold water, it'll take ages to heat it.
You don't leave it on all day .. usually let it cool down when not using it, and heat it up again when you do.
