I would save your cash and buy the RGBIC version of these. I bought these last time for around the same price. they are easy to stick up but the colours are not true, plus they look naff in the daylight. next time I'd spend a little more and get the better version, then buy some led light diffuser strips for a proper job.

Shame it states that it doesn’t support Alexa/home, I have some govee lights that work with Alexa, unsure why these wouldn’t.

They are bluetooth and not wifi.

I've got some Govee lights and after less than two years they've developed a fault, not sure if I'm unlucky but I'll check alternate brands when I get round to replacing them.

Seriously? I've got Govee 10m led stripe and after few months when I choose white colour on app I have rainbow around my living room
Honestly if someone need LEDs do not choose Govee

Do these make nice lighting or are they as garish as in the pics?

The ones I have around my daughters desk make whatever colour/tone you like.
But compared to a Phillips hue light strip they are nowhere near as bright.

Buying them Isn't an issue but installing them is. I don't think it's just as easy as sticking them to the wall and plugging in the switch

Why? Are these not just the led strip lights with adhesive backing? Or are they something different?

Someone should really invent LED lights without needing a power connection.

I'm sure you could run these for a good few hours with an 18650/solar setup.

Haven't investigated the wattage for accuracy

Maybe a daft question but how would you install these around the edge of the ceiling only
when the cable length from light strip to the plug is only 50cm

3m from plug to ceiling i dont want lights (edited)

What a rip off product to Hue! Sort of like Eufy is to Ring!

Pretty much, you can buy fiddly wee connectors to extend one if you have another set that needs extended
