Unprecedented freedom of choice.
Intimidate, sweet-talk, resort to violence, write poetry, sing karaoke, dance like a beast, or solve the meaning of life. Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is the most faithful representation of desktop role playing ever attempted in video games.

Countless tools for role playing.
Mix and match from 24 wildly different skills. Develop a personal style with over 80 clothing items. Develop your character even further with 60 wild thoughts to think – with the detective's Thought Cabinet.

A revolutionary dialogue system with unforgettable characters.
The world is alive with real people, not extras. Ask probing questions, make insightful observations, or express your wildest desires as you play cop or something completely different. Disco Elysium's revolutionary dialogue system lets you do almost anything.

Hard boiled, hard core.
Death, sex, taxes, and disco – nothing is off the table. Revachol is a real place with real challenges. Solve a massive murder investigation, or relax and kick back with sprawling side-cases. The detective decides, the citizens abide.

Don't buy this. The devs were screwed over and encourage you to torrent.

yeah the original creators were pushed out of their own company and it was essentially stolen from them. i thoroughly enjoy this game, and recommend playing it, but i also dont recommend paying for it because of what happened. i also dont recommend buying the sequel that is in develoement because the creatives behind the original have nothing to do with it.

This is honestly a very strange game but really amazing script and voice acting makes it an incredible experience. Maybe experience is a better term than game here - you're following the story and diverting it here and there rather than making it.
As others have said though, make good decisions about where to get it considering how badly the creators have been treated by the company.

I tried soo hard to like this game as everyone is saying it's fantastic but no matter how hard I try I just couldn't get into it. I'm lost the whole time lol

I'm 90% of the way through and feel exactly the same....there was a point I was close to giving up and then something made me want to see the end. I'm still not convinced it was the right choice

Finished this recently on steam deck. Took a few hours to make any sense but once it clicked it was fantastic. Really unique characters and great story.

Played this. Really don’t get the hype, plays a teenager written novel with added point click frustration. Not much to do. Snooze fest.

I played around 45 minutes and was bewildered by the dialogue, baffled by the 'plot' and completely lost as to what on earth was going on. Might revisit, but I'm wondering why so many think this is such a good game.

I'm intrigued but not really sure what the game is about or how it plays. The comments above aren't helping haha

It’s bit like an old point and click adventure game from the 90s, but with loads more dialogue, and it’s is bat s**t crazy.

A wonderful game, urge everyone to play it. It may seem bizarre at first but push past it if that bothers you
