Use the key on the radiator to remove trapped air if the top is cooler than the bottom when on.

I would also recommend putting a nail in the boiler cupboard and hanging this up, inside or near, the boiler, that way you always know where to find it!

    The reason why these are called bleeding keys is because you can never find the bleeding things when you need them

    Local plumber fitted me auto vent valve on hall radiator as it wanted bleeding after a week always ! Now never needs bleeding

    Keep an eye on your boiler pressure though. Unless you have a tank fed system

    got some similar to these admittedly from a different vendor on Amazon, maybe I'm heavy handed but both snapped, luckily found an old one in the garage so disaster was averted
