Not on sale but the cheapest I can find it. Ideal if you fancy trying to making your own cider etc.

Coming complete with free straining bags, these presses are ideal for pressing apples to make cider (as well as other fruits for fruit juice) and are on offer at fantastic prices. Made from a steel base plate with a hardwood pressing basket, the base plate features a lip for easy juice collection and a wide stance for stability. Featuring a 'twist and extend' mechanism where the supplied blocks of wood are put in place as the handle is twisted to exert more pressure on the fruit, giving the maximum yield. Requires home assembly.

  • Enjoy Healthier Juice: This juice maker features the traditional way to squeeze fresher and healthier juice for you to enjoy. Different from other electric juicers, this manual juice maker is quieter and energy-saving while having less foaming. Besides, the fruit press is not limited by the type of fruit.
  • Easy to Operate & Large Capacity: The operation of this manual juice extractor is quite convenient. First, put the crushed fruits into the basket. Then, rotate the connecting rod. After that, the handmade juice is ready to drink, making the process more efficient.
  • Selected Materials: Crafted of natural oak wood, this fruit wine cider press is durable to last for years. Meanwhile, supported by 3 heavy-duty steel legs, this manual fruit maker comes with strong stability to hold up different fruits firmly. Moreover, there are multiple holes on the legs so that you can attach it to the table for extra stability.`
  • Fit Different Places: This practical juice maker will be the perfect assistant for different places. You can use our wine-making tool at home to press fresh juice for your guests. And the squeezed fruit shop is going to be a great place to own it as well.
  • Available in 3 Sizes: 6, 12, and 18-liter capacity. Please Select from Variation Carefully.

Reminds me of my dad building a larger scale one of these to make wine 40 years ago. Got the central thread and bolt from a railway goods yard locally, and made the rest himself. Worked great, though it was hard work getting through a couple of hundred litres of wine! (edited)

People still use it nowadays for home made wine

Thanks to the OP I've been looking for one for a couple of years but didn't want to spend too much.

Unfortunately, my order arrived today but Denny have sent a lawn fertiliser
Here's hoping they have a decent customer service department to sort this out.

Bought one of these a few years ago, awful, I had to cut a load of wooden blocks to add to it as it didnt exert enough pressure with the ones provided

Bought one of these a few years back, well before Covid, for an extra fiver. Only issue I had was pressing small fruit, as the thread only went about half way down, so I found myself standing pieces of wood on their ends to get the right depth in the latter stages. Saying that, I'm still using it for various fruits and it's still going strong.

Why does it say it preserves nutrients better than an electric one?

The high speed juice machine fast movement reduce the nutrition on the juice plus the make many fruit into more of a purée than a juice.
