I like the Merrell wider fit and I like Goretex, just not sure about the look…
    Heat regardless!

At RRP of £160 they'd have to do the walking for me too

Bought a pair a couple of weeks ago and took them around the Lakes over the Easter weekend.
Good all day shoes for hiking, a bit of scrambling and the pub afterwards

Excellent. I’ve been looking for some Goretex shoes I can go to the pub in.

Looks more like a pair of cheap site safety Trainers.

Generally like the look of Merrells (not these though), but I've never had a pair of Goretex Merrells yet that were actually waterproof. Better off with a decent equipment brand if you care about waterproofing.

Merrell tend to be small for sizes as a warning.

Merrell not what they were in the 80s-90s. Comfortable no doubt as urban wear but they won't get you very far off the beaten track.

They do still do shoes of that quality but they are a lot more expensive than these are.

My last pair of GTX Merrells were absolute junk and I won't be buying others in a hurry. Fitted well as I went up half a size, but started leaking at the base of the big toe in no time, then developed a visible split there. In the meantime the soles look like they've done hundreds of miles when they've had nothing more than a bit of light use.
