    the 90percent will happen BUT it wont be a 90% sale advertised on signs there will be a store by store look at whats left by managers then they will yellow label everything to 90% and just leave further reductions signs up. its called manager reducing NOT a 90pc off sale

    Same here! You open up items which show as being in stock, and nothing is actually in stock!

    90% has happened on every sale. However this time all our team members were told last week that it was the final cut last week & it went to yellows, and anything left this week will be going to oxfam. Our store hasn’t hardly anything left anyway. So unless we’ve all been told a porky, This will be the case this time. However we’ve also had times where we’ve only found out the day before that the 90% sale will be the following day.

    No idea but it’s looking increasingly likely. Just been to the third shop and no sign of anything but that doesn’t mean nothing is happening

It’s all system generated & prices Drop on the day of sale. That’s when staff can then go and change yellow stickers. Also we don’t normally add anything to a 90, it would have already been out with the previous reductions, it’s literally what’s left

    Good that they'll be giving it to charity, although Oxfam will no doubt charge more than the m&s sale price. Got to pay their executives huge salaries somehow I guess

    Nothing of note in the first store. I took some sale stuff back and assumed the receipt that comes out with the discounted price would show a 90% reduction but it didn’t. Curiouser and curiouser…

They have very large sizes most of the times so I think it's waste of effort going but each to their own...

    Morning, I'm a newbie (so be kind) although have been an M&S bargain hunter for years .....and often have a read of the posts.

    I tried posting on the January sale thread, just to say thank you to little lad - but none of my posts were approved???

    Anyway, just to confirm that at my local M&S (I was there for it opening at 8), there were no further reductions.
    I asked one of the assistants to price check a couple of items (one a Jaegar dress from £99 to £65, I said I thought it was still a bit pricey for final reductions and she agreed ....)

    There were also some signs up saying "new lines added", and some of the children's items were still quite pricey .....
