Why is this so expensive? Is it actually good quality or the fashionable brand at the moment?

Designer brand it's both good quality and fashionable brand.

Worth sizing up if your not familiar with the brand it usually fits quite small.

Has this company been bought by Mike Ashley?

"Mentioned it earlier in thread but Ashley owns a % of the uk agency who distributes napapijri in the uk. Same agency who also does Stone island and CP. He doesn’t own any of the brands but he can dictate what shops sell them.
The same agency also distributes paul and shark so again Ashley has a say in where it’s sold. Now USC ( which Ashley owns) would never sell paul and shark as it’s way to expensive so he’s had them create a cheap line made in the Far East that he can peddle on."
