I bought 4 on a previous deal. One arrived bent and was returned for replacement, one blew inside out and bent the shaft in moderate wind, the other three remain, although they don't feel robust. I keep in the car/by the front doors for emergencies, but wouldn't be reliant on these for prolonged use.

In summary, it's a throwaway umbrella.

I bought one for this price a few weeks back and it was absolutely awful. Wasn't even that windy last week and the pole bent in 5 or so minutes after opening it. My one went to the landfill but at least everyone at the bus stand has a good chuckle. small joys of life.

If you want to buy an umbrella that will last a lifetime I recommend a 'Gustbuster' as they have been tested for 'upto' 55 miles an hour wind.

This one however will do the same job as long as you don't use it in high wind.

These things have to have double spokes tethered together to really survive bad weather. I've got a massive golf one in the boot, I've had for more than 20 years. It's bomb proof. Always check the spokes are at least in pairs.

I should have read the feedback on this site. I ordered to replace a 20 year old brolly that was starting to look a bit tired. Even though this is new it's far worse than my old brolly. I had a Poundland brolly that was better than this one.
