    Don't buy this. Ours is difficult to wind, the quality is shocking and the plug is so brittle it shattered when dropped a short distance to the pavement.

    That’s a fair comment, and I think it’s reflective of the price really. It’s a cheap product rather than a bargain sale price.

    I have one though and it is like new as it has only had light use and is fine for the lower power devices I have used it with, with long periods of use without moving it.

    Personally I wouldn’t buy a 1mm2 cable extension for a general use diy extension to have around the house. I have a green 25m masterplug for that, much better and twice the price, it has taken alot of battering and, although some like a sturdy metal reel which reels away without jamming, being all plastic construction i like that it doesn’t damage the floor when it falls 3m from the top of the step ladder and I have patience to reel it up with care… (edited)
