Can someone explain why you would use acrylic sealant instead of silicone, apart from the over-paintability? (edited)

much easier to apply and it can be removed when it gets old without much effort.

    £2.99 for 300ml - minimum order of 3:

May be a better deal for some and/ or a better cartridge size.
Easy enough to apply - I used to replace some failed silicone around a patio door and I've plans re-do around my windows internally when I get chance.
I paid £2.65 per 300ml back in December so price appears to be on the up.

Yea all these products jumped in January.

Silicone is like plaster and cement, requires heating in its manufacture to now very expensive high temperatures!

Is this acrylic stuff being pushed because it's now cheaper than silicone? Maybe uses less energy in production than silicone?

Silicone is pretty easy to apply. How is this easier?
Why wouldn't you use 100% neutral cure windows&doors silicone in that situation of a patio door? (edited)
