The cheapest Blade 6 (which I'd guess this is) is £50 at Argos. I think its the one I have and its a great board - almost no bounce-outs on account of no staples and very thin wire. Mentioned this on an older post but the extra £18 for the cabinet and darts is only a bargain if that is what you really want. The cabinets look nice but are not kind to your darts when you miss and there's not much protection for your walls above/below the board. Also the included darts are a fair bit lighter than most people use. Personally would consider the stand-alone board, a foam surround and choose your own darts, but if all of this is actually what you would buy separately then its a very good deal.

I have a 30+ Yr old Winmau. We've installed in in a nice old cabinet so stays out of sight when doors are closed.
What I need now is some kind of board to surround the dartboard and cabinet backing for protection.
Are there any cheap/clever ways to do this?

E.g a board/material the darts can sink into that won't dull the darts too much yet won't be covered in holes?

you'd probably be best off buying a sheet of very high density foam/poly and making a cut out to fit snugly round the cabinet. You could then store it away, fit it round the cabinet and open the doors when playing, put it away again when you are finished.

Its ok if you've never played darts before and want the full kit.
I'd sooner buy a board and get the darts that suited me plus a surround or a light surround .
