I've got 2 of these stuck in my smoke detector. Flipping things get everywhere. Argos ebay had a blaster with? 84? Darts for £9 on here recently, so if you need just darts, look about for a package with a gun.
Great darts. Bought for £8 at smyths. they work really well in the spring powered Nerf, but not so well in the battery powered devices.
My sons had a lot of fun this weekend. They missed few times which is normal for a child but the darts didn't fall once they stick to the board.
Looking everywhere for a dangerous child version. I'm living life on the edge and the Safety child version is playing it too safe for me
Mine never arrived and when I chased them they say they're sold out. :(
Same here! Shoots far too! Plenty of ammo and no jamming. Bought another!
Got 2 at 8.99 last week... Worth it for the 96 darts per pack. One was definitely a return though, sticker lifted, a few scratches, and doesn't seem as accurate or powerful as the other one. It was held on the box with cable ties too. Still great having 2. Paying more is annoying, but it's still a very good price for 96 darts and a biiiig gun. Asda have a range too, their bug attack 8 shot, 46 dart version is £9. I've found thd smaller guns are more accurate, so a bit better if your setting up an alien shooting range gallery of recycling wrapped in foil. Don't forget the hook a turd plastic poos either. Them's gooooood shootin'.
Ordered this at £8.99 and couldn’t believe how good it was when it arrived! Still a bargain at £10.99!
Ordered one when it was £8.99. Didn't arrive, chased on Friday and was told 'order failed to be created due to a system error ' and they refunded me yesterday. It's frustrating to see that they're still in stock but I won't pay the extra £2 as a matter of principle.
Thanks for sharing @Matt_Weaver1EG (y)
Didn’t know the guy who created Thunderbirds was involved in darts too! Heat.
They used to sell quality stuff, now dart boards (lol) (lol) (lol) (lol)
Good post but i see this getting cold quickly. Poor board & Darts and the cabinet is outdated. Better to get a Blade 5 from Argos
Safety, does this mean it's 2m from the board to the line? Social distance darts.
Got my girl one from smyths at Xmas she has it below her dads in the garage
My son got this for xmas. We had hours of fun all over the Christmas break with it. It kept everyone aged 11-60 entertained. Really good quality and works so much better than I was expecting!
A bit of an update. I wouldn't recommend this unless you put it on the floor or low level and throw the darts fairly hard as otherwise most just fall out. So the above pic was my prototype. Below is the set up I have now. The top one uses darts similar to real ones but with plastic tips. I would have bought a proper dart board but didnt want to ruin my expensive deck underneath. The lower one is magnetic for my grandson aged 5.
part of my grown up play ground. (lol)
??? it is not kids board - in a "real" one you have to count points by yourself - different feeling when you throw - you have sharp darts aldi one works similar and is much easier for begginers
So more of a kids board than a proper soft tip board?
Can't beat a bit of bully! 🤭 :/ :D
For some reason some of SDs products feel fake. (lol)
Just received an email indicating improvements coming..... Welcome To The Unibet Home Tour Thanks for your joining the PDC during these unprecedented times. We’re delighted that we are able to bring you live darts through the Unibet Home Tour over the coming weeks. Our opening night wasn’t without some difficulties, and you may have experienced login issues with the PDCTV website. At the start of the broadcast, we received an unprecedented amount of external traffic (which was not from individual fans) on the PDCTV login area, preventing new registrations and restricting the process for current members. However, these were resolved from night two onwards and you should now be able to access PDCTV each evening to watch without difficulty. We're also continuing to review the Unibet Home Tour to ensure that the broadcast is as high quality as possible and are working with our partners to make the necessary improvements to this innovative new event. We have already seen some big upsets and drama on the tour, the biggest of which saw Luke Woodhouse hit a nine-darter live from his kitchen! The tour will continue for the next few weeks from 1930 BST each evening on PDCTV.
I’m a darts fan/ player for my local but gave up watching this after five minutes last night.
Loads of feeds for it on satellite DAZN etc
The PDC should have sent these players high quality cameras and then charged a nominal fee to viewers, it could have been a much better viewing experience
The quality of those streams though :-(
Any other decent games in the Nintendo sale?
This game is awful, honestly.
I’m not sure I do. However if this deal lasts until 29 April, then I think I could be sorted, as amazon France updated my order just now saying they’re delivering my switch 24-28 April, so hopefully that’ll do it. Now I just hope I don’t get a france-only plug, but maybe it’ll be U.K. compatible too. Let’s see :)
Do you know anyone who owns a switch that you trust? Pretty sure you can link your Nintendo account to a profile on their switch, buy the games, then log in on your new one when it arrives and make that one your primary console. There might be some jiggery pokery needed given the games you buy will download to your friend's console initially but nothing insurmountable I dont think. Just don't save your credit card details on the eshop and let your friend run amok!
I didn't buy my switch to play bloody darts! 🎯 Hell have some heat anyway 🔥 :)
Personally I'm not a darts fan, something to do with me being blind in my left eye and left handed. Anyhow, as pointed out this is a deal regardless of how expensive it is because anyone wishing to buy this would be saving £50. As for standard dartboard only costing £20/£30 can the same logic not be applied to everything else? New mobile phones cost an absolute fortune but get voted hot for the same reason - because it is a deal but based on the dartboard costing £20/£30 I could point out that the afore mentioned Nokia 3310 could be purchased for £20/£30 everytime someone posts a phone deal and then actually vote cold! I won't because they are not the same as this is not the same as a standard dartboard.
the same reason people post apple deals, its cheaper than other places. Also if you need to connect it to your phone why not just use the phones calculator as you'll already have the phone in your hand and save yourself the hours of frustration of pairing and then disconections when you goto the loo.
Cold on the voting , hot on the chat (excited)
Perfect for dumb ass millennials who don’t know how to subtract T19, 20 and T18 from 501
Exactly, but it will definitely destroy the dartboard ! You would do less damage throwing 3 axes
Sold out unfortunetly
It's quality board,the best I played on
Did anyone actually get tickets from this deal ?
Tournament just starting on TV (Quest) They obviously failed to attract many at £3 - the place is empty Like a darts match at a crematorium
If you needed travel, accommodation and food etc in London for a week and were not guaranteed to even cover your costs unless you pretty much won the whole thing would you do it? Bdo players all have other jobs, they need to use up holidays to compete and those who aren’t likely to go far would make a loss, it’s not worth it.
The centre of the bull should be 5ft 8in off the ground. No more, no less.
It's about time I get back to darts. Good memories and a good price.
The darts will be just to get you going, nothing worse than cheap darts. Best buy the darts separately. Wire tends to be thicker on cheaper boards along with the texture of the board. You get more bounce outs and darts falling out of the board with cheaper boards
I'm 6ft tall, while that is quite tall, I had no problems whatsoever drilling holes into the wall for the board holder. Dropping the board by a couple of inches will make your aim way off.
That one in the link has staples, whereas the Blade 5 has 'blades', which means more of a scoring area and less possible bounce-outs.
These are very good darts for that price good grip also
Have had these for the last year. Only a chucker but very nice for the cash.
Depends on their age I suppose, you could get some size 1 stems from the Amazon link above which are at least 1cm shorter than the ones that come with the board. The darts themselves are similar to ones I got when I was ~12 years old (30 years ago!) and I still use now along with many others I should add. These darts will last a lifetime
My lads have the set that came with a winmau board. Would anyone recommend a better kids dart? Would these be ok or too long
Should say that these come with long stems which aren't for everyone. Some very well priced Pro Grip stems are available in all five lengths at Amazon via Darts Corner if you buy in bulk i.e. 10 sets (30 stems) which will last ages for ~8 quid delivered https://www.amazon.co.uk/pro-grip-10-sets-Sports-Outdoors/s?k=pro+grip+10+sets&rh=n:318949011,p_6:A1GZFV65JHDL5U&page=2
Son, where have you been all these years?
What do you see in the title? I see at Argos. (confused)
'He's moving forward like a Sherman tank' 18 n eightyyyyyyy.! (y)
Heat added :)
71% off Only lacking availability on Sat 9th and 16th Just a shame it isn't held at the Civic again this year!
You’ll buy a million sets before you find the right ones for you. But try to go to a specialist shop and use them before you buy them. If you’re local 9dartfinish in blackburn is good. They also have a website. Lots of info and help from these guys.
Cheers mate, just bought the dart board on its own along with these darts: argos.co.uk/product/7376593 Please let me know if I've bought the wrong ones and I'll exchange
Depends if you want the cabinet. Generally the darts are rubbish.
Is it worth paying the £16 extra for the cabinet and darts set (£39.99)? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7549409
Is this a good price? Plenty of people selling them on Facebook market place for lots less. Just got to be in the right place at right time. I had a blade 5 dart board. Rubber mat and surround for £30
I wonder if this one has been repeated on Challenge?
Nothing in this game for two in a bed.
Got this, didn't get discount and product is not 'super, smashing, great'. BFH from me. (poo)
They tried in 2006 with Dave Spikey but unfortunately it had the sense of knowing mocking irony which the old show didn't. The 2006 prizes were rubbish but they knew they were whereas the prizes were considered "good" by eighties standards.
That pretty much sounds like the 1980's to me
After playing with it for a while, it's not that bad. I would say 75% throws stay in ;-) Good enough for a kid.
Bullseye, just what I as after. Actually I I'm not but just wanted to say 'bullseye'.
It's for my 8y daughter. Ehh I hope it will stick.
Totally agree. These things are awful. Everyone has a great time with them, but you turn around constantly seeing your kids disappointed faces that their darts didn't stick.
Best get one for our lass. I hung a map of the world on the wall and said "Here you go, throw a dart at it. Wherever it hits, that's where we are going on holiday this year." I'm really looking forward to 2 weeks all inclusive on the f*****g skirting board.
