• 4K Resolution

  4K resolution is most often acknowledged as having a resolution of 3840 x 2160 or 2160p. Now this is more than 4 times the resolution of a full HD 1080p image which is only a 1920x1080 resolution. The contrasts between light and shade are much more pronounced in HDR mode. This mode allows you to look into dusky or shadowy depths on the screen and actually pick out some of the shapes and forms within the darkness, while the added brightness gives far more life and energy.   The most common type of 4K technology is OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) and most major brands such as Philips or LG utilize this technology to get the most out of their machines. Samsung is unique in that they primarily focus on QLED technology (Quantum-Dot Light Emitting Diode) which ultimately covers a broader spectrum of shades and colour when compared to OLED Devices. Generally, the price for a Samsung QLED TV is higher than the price of an OLED product for that very reason.
