About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
This is the best price I have seen from major dealers. Sold and shiped from blacks. Note this is more like a all-around hiking shoe/boot, if you want to get some moderate level trails (according to alltrails/others), this normally works fine. But you might need something with better protection for a harder trail. The similar hiking shoe/boot would be something like Scarpa Moraine or other eva sole hiking shoe/boot.
In general, this is a decent trail boot/shoe for dayhiker/everyday use with reasonable attractive price.

Base on my experience: NO they won't keep you warm, but they prevent you losing extra temprature by keeping dry.
Actually the boot keep you warm because the temprature from your feet kept within the boot (just like a winter jacket), which lether ones might do a bit better. But GTX waterproof is always considered "could have more breathbility", so I guess it helps a bit (but not a worthy opponent as something like UGG).
On the other side, these are GTX, you cannot something better for the waterproof material on the market, unless go up to 600+ pounnds (I am saying technically hiking boots like La Sportiva Olympus, but they are not for everyday use at all).
Yes They are.
I won't recommend brands like Peter storm or other cheaper ones. If you going outdoors, boots is almost top 1 priority, which keeps you save and comfortable. From my experience, the cheaper ones are hard to fit in and less trustworthy. (edited)
Yeah that is a goood fit for something in the middle - I guess all eva hiking shoes are similar. There definately trade offs - cushioning/comfortable to stability and protection. But as long as fitting the purpose, it is good.:D
Not when the actual sole MELTS!
These are really nice boots but I did not use mine that often (when it's muddy enough to need these I don't go for walks).
After a few years my almost "new" boots suddenly fell to bits the middle "rubber" layer just became soft like putty and fell to bits when you run your finger over it. I contacted Berghaus but it was beyond repair - they kindly offered me a voucher for a new pair of boots.
Hopefully they last well despite the design flaw in having that weak point where the boot flexes.
That's the true test! Not trying on before buying isn't the best idea for walking boots but I'll return if they don't fit well.
Good point about the trade off. Can't expect the same durability in lightweight fabric boots.
That's one benefit with Amazon, but you might want to look into a bit since it is sold by Blacks on Amazon (normally it goes fine with me, but might be different from product to product).
And yes we can never expect a lightweighted boot lasting like the heavy leather ones, they have pros and cons.
que?
Quite the stream of consciousness. The gist was gettable, though.
I used them for some velcro on an a jacket recently and can also recommend this
Yeah this is pretty common. One rumer says all boot companies switch to environment friendly glue, not as good as the old ones. But normally you can reglue it.
But sorry to see such issue, and especially sad this is such a common issue across brands.
This is exactly what happened to mine, they weren’t interested. Offered me 20% off items on there site which were 30% more expansive than other places. Won’t buy again. Shame as I WAS Really happy with them.
Specially worried about the glued sections...
