Waterproof: This fabric provides an impenetrable barrier to rain and snow for guaranteed dryness.

Breathable: Air can easily pass through the fabric in this garment, helping to regulate body temperature.

Recycled material: Helps reduce landfill waste and the use of virgin materials.

Windproof: This fabric blocks wind from penetrating the garment, greatly reducing the effects of wind chill.

DWR - water repellent: A durable water repellent finish provides protection from light moisture and fabric saturation.

Standard fit: This garment is true to size for an easy, comfortable fit.

Whether hiking dirt trails or pacing over scree-covered rock, don't let the weather stop you. With a waterproof DryVent™ shell, the Antora Jacket repels wind and rain to leave you feeling warm, dry and comfortable. Secure zipped hand pockets are great for stashing essentials. The hood is adjustable to protect your head from the elements. And that's not all, as this jacket is made from recycled materials, minimising its impact on the environment.

  • 100% windproof fabric
  • Alpine-style design with secure-zip hand pockets

The North Face Men's Quest Hooded Jacket

WATERPROOF: This fabric provides an impenetrable barrier to rain and snow for guaranteed dryness.
BREATHABLE: Air can easily pass through the fabric in this garment, helping to regulate body temperature.
QUICK DRYING - WICKING: Quick-drying fabric moves moisture to the surface to evaporate.

There's a reason the Quest Jacket is back for another season: because it continues to deliver great value, and reliable rain and wind protection. This shell is made from lightweight, two-layer DryVent™ with taped seams and a water repellent finish. All this means you stay dry, protected from the wind and won't get too hot and sweaty in the process - ideal when hiking in shifting conditions. It features a fitted, adjustable hood and a cinch-cord hem and elasticated cuffs to keep bad weather out. A brushed-knit chin guard means the top of the zip won't become irritating and there are two zipped hand pockets.

Standard fit: This garment is true to size for an easy, comfortable fit.

Features:

  • Waterproof, breathable, seam sealed two-layer DryVent™
  • Mesh body lining
  • Brushed knit back neck and chin guard lining
  • Exposed centre front zip with water-resistant finish
  • Fixed hood with one-way hood regulation
  • Two hand pockets with zip closure
  • Shock cord regulation adjustment at hood and hem
  • Elasticated cuffs
  • Heat transfer logo
  • Durable water-repellent (DWR) finish

reviews mention the hood is useless, and non-adjustable cuffs, good if you want to be "trendy with your north face coat" but if you want an actual functional waterproof shell look elsewhere.

    Useful to hear a review.
    Stopped me buying one!

This will go hot purely because the logo on it, that's all some people care about these days.

Probably go cold because people like you don’t care about a good deal being a good price

Spend more and get yourself a gore tex garment. These halfway houses aren’t all they’re cracked up to be

Bought a RAB Eco downpour for this price on a deal. It's slightly tight on the chest so need something else.
Im not sure if this is equivalent or worse than the RAB.
    Anyone any idea?
    Thanks in advance

I don't know how many of the other commenters have this jacket, but I do. I find it good quality and waterproof. In the world of £2-300+ Rab and Arcteryx jackets, OK, it falls short. But for £55 it is a great buy in my opinion.

I think some of the negative comments probably more reflect the 'brand' than the jacket. If you can look past the TNF brand, then you can't go wrong for £55.

The sizing is well off I'd buy at least one size down. I bought an XL and it swamped me.

Totally agree with that. I am a firm M and need an S in the Quest jacket

Can see no difference between the Antora and Quest apart from the Antora being £5 cheaper.?

10% off also if you have Blue light card

Just ordered the anotra. The hood has no adjustability meaning it covers your eyes almost. I guess it would be good if you’re wearing a really big hat. I sent it back and ordered the quest which has an elastic cord on the hood. Will let you know what else is different once it arrives if that helps

Just remembered the quest also has some soft lining all around the inside neck. Can’t remember if the anotra does or not. Just sent it back today. (edited)

Got to agree with the comment above. I bought one from a previous deal. They look decent on the pictures but are just a thin shell jacket. The hood does.have adjustable straps etc but its never fitted me properly.

Paid £36 for the quest jacket, (via amazon) back in 2019. Still not worn it though. I did test the waterproofing and it was pretty good. It was pretty big for an 'L'.

Always a useful idea to go in-store and try their products on to see how they fit and the quality of their materials,of course if one is able to.

If anyone is looking for a cheap waterproof and have a Decathlon store near them (or order on line) then they do some great waterproof gear but very reasonable prices. Such as Men's Hiking Lightweight Waterproof Jacket MH150 QUECHUA - Decathlon

Good deal for this jacket, but they are having 5 minutes of fame at the mo and not sure the products live up to the hype.

I have a Quest jacket and for £55 find it waterproof and generally excellent. Bought the yellow jacket as it will be perfect for my autumn/winter cycling commute as it is waterproof and breathable.

I have the same as well (mine is orange), found mine at my local TK maxx for £49.99. decent fit and it does an okay job of keeping the water out. Not the most breathable, but I enjoy it for what it is at that price. Definitely not worth the £100msrp it is listed at for sure. (edited)
