I tried the burger with bacon and it was quite nice. A co-worker really likes the hot-dogs. For the price, it's worth it. Breakfast is good too

EDIT - Went after work. Got a chicken burger and beef burger. The chicken burger was nice, but the beef was disgusting. Tasted and looked like it was frozen and microwaved. The lattice fries were great and loved the strawberry/watermelon cooler. Breakfast continues to be great (edited)

I went to the one in Stockport yesterday and I have mixed feelings.

When I was queuing, I noticed staff where talking, joking and messing about with each other a little bit too much in between orders and this was causing the queue to get accumulate unnecessarily. This is something I haven’t noticed happen in McDonald’s before and I just chalked it up to a being new store and the staff getting to know each other.

When I asked if the hot drink that I wanted could be included as a drink at no extra cost as part of the ‘meal’ the woman behind the counter replied ‘yes’. This was not true and the drink added an extra 60p when it came to paying. In typical British fashion, I was too embarrassed to say anything and just payed.

I liked the chicken burger, lots of salad, criss-cross fries were okay, coffee tasted a little burnt but was passible. I don't like the way the sauces come in plastic containers and think that's pretty wasteful for 2022. This was before 5pm so I ended up paying £7.49 in total which as a bit too much in my opinion.

I would go again for £2.99 but at not £7.49. (edited)

Honestly I wouldn’t bother, it’s garbage. Tried it once, never again! Awful rubbery burger, terrible soggy“fries”, stodgy doughnuts. And it was expensive - no idea how we managed it but nearly £30 for 5.

As much as I hate myself for saying it, it doesn’t hold a candle to McDonald’s. And I don’t even like McDonald’s!

Tim Horton's. the only place you can buy a hash brown that looks and tastes like it's been dipped in a puddle.

Hot deal though (unlike their breakfasts, which are always cold, even when freshly made. How do they do that?) (edited)

Tim Hortons Hot & Iced Drinks are really nice imo especially their French Vanilla & Hot Chocolate just to mention 2! Their Doughnuts & Timbits are not bad either! Many complaining about service at new restaurants! They'll soon get upto scratch as I suppose their staff just get a little training before being thrown in at the deep end! Unlike McDonald's for example where they can send staff to nearby restaurants for on job training for a few weeks before a new store opens! 🌞 (edited)

The veggie breakfasts are banging there

Issue is with Tim Hortons is they’re paying their staff rubbish wages, the managers are only on £10.10 an hour so they’re not gonna get someone that could run it smooth and efficiently. (edited)

Whats the best meal? Any recommendations?

Where we are it's crossing the road and going to McDonalds.

Tried our new local out 4 times now, they have yet to get an order correct/serve everything hot/give the kids box/crayons etc for their kids meal, each time we put it down to them being newly opened, but they are still crap so go elsewhere now.

Complained each time to head office, the last time they sent me a voucher for 46 donuts instead of offering to replace the 2 kids meals they screwed up....

Not surprised, absolutely useless at Birstall. They don't know the difference between a black coffee and a latte. Every time I order one at drive thru they give me a black coffee and try to just give me milk and sugar sachets to fix it (edited)

A lot of hatred for them here! Have only been to the Larbert branch when that opened, a few years ago, but found their coffee to be great and the veggie breakfast to be spot on.

Perhaps the English franchise aren't as good as the Scottish ones.

I've heard that the sauce on their smoky maple burgers is pretty good.
I was going to try it, but couldn't justify spending £10 for a meal.
This seems like the perfect opportunity to give it a chance...

I often have the veggie breakfast muffin from their B’ham branch with an original brew coffee and I have to say it’s delicious and for the price amazing value. I also prefer the Canadian/USA style filter coffee they serve as I’m not a big fan of the crapochino espresso drinks that the other coffee shops serve here in the UK!
