    Any good????
If anyone has a takeaway supplier near them and open to the public ask if they sell this….. tastes fantastic.👌

Thanks, how much you pay for that and do you know if it's halal?

Edit: just noticed it says halal on the packaging. Just looking for price now (edited)

Genuinely one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever ate. No idea how anyone can eat this
    CrudBucket's avatar
Haha, I'm a meat eater and still quite liked this.

Last time I checked this was about 80% fat content, the main ingredient is oil, not peas! (edited)
    BlueCreek's avatar
That explains the fry in water instruction, as there’s already enough oil in it to fry it with.

Made from peas......yeah think I'll pass on that.
    herrbz's avatar
    Are peas bad?

"Fry the kebab in 2 tbsp of water "

I'm not sure I understand this. Can anyone help please.

Which word do you not understand? Fry or water or tbsp?

I like this. I do it in the ninja on air crisp. No oil or water. Had it on pizza and in a pitta.
    jdbigguy's avatar
Putting a pizza in a pitta is a bit overkill, but I can't wait to try it.

    Are these halal?
    furi0n's avatar
Irrelevant, as it contains no meat. Made from peas and suitable for veggies.

    Love this in pizza

You can do it easily in the microwave. I usually add a little BBQ sauce and mint sauce which makes it seem a bit more lamby.

Funny how vegtarian food tried to be like meat products. They don't have their own products, do they?
    BRTTN's avatar
They don't have their own products? Everything that doesn't contain meat is vegetarian so you could argue you're eating mostly vegetarian's products.

I don't understand why some find it so hard to grasp that vegetarians don't normally dislike the taste of meat so make things that taste similar but without the death.

Managed to get some in Mitcham store they had a load & for 39p it's a bargain meal in these hard times. (edited)

If you are expecting it to taste like Doner meat you'll be disappointed. Indeed, if you taste it on its own it is actually quite bland. However if you make a kebab with all the trimmings (salad, chilli sauce, garlic mayo), then it gives it the kebab feel in terms of texture. Overall we enjoyed it and will buy again

    So yummy 😋
  22. MazzaMaz's avatar
Very nice. I drizzle with very little oil and put in the oven instead of frying it (in a lasagna dish). When it is sizzling, I serve with all the trimmings for kebab (salad, tomatoes etc etc).

    Brilliant in the air fryer
    Diva82's avatar
How long do you cook it in the air fryer?
  24. DrKnavery's avatar
This is surprisingly tasty but it gave me terrible gas!

Just like the real thing from my experience!

19% pea protein concentrate the rest fat , salt and sugar , no wonder this product has ended up in Farmfoods a 10th of it's original price
  27. Dangerpowers_'s avatar
I know it's not 39p but if you aren't keen on this you can make a mini elephants leg of doner kebab meat by adding seasoning to lamb mince, rolling into the shape and tin foiling it in the oven... ive tried before and surprisingly close to the real thing. I think the seasoning mix was called tongmaster.
    BRTTN's avatar
Don't think that's really for this products target market.

Forget the water bit .. go all out and add some real butter on low heat for a few minutes ... sizzled not stirred (edited)

It’s 39p because it’s awful. Bought some last week and couldn’t stomach the stuff. All for plant based alternatives but they have to be edible.
