    If you take finasteride in tablets (Propecia) . You can although purchase liquid finasteride and minoxidil It's called Minoxidil Max Dualgen 15 PG (with glycol if you are not allergic and this will dry faster, although it will leave white residue on your scalp which will look like dandruff, so you will have to wash your head at least daily) and Minoxidil Max Dualgen 15 No PG ( if you are allergic to glycol, this will dry slower and your hair will look greasy).

    If your hair is balding at a point where you're considering this stuff, it's already too late. Accept the fact that you're getting older. Going bald looks a hell of a lot worse than being bald and this stuff will NEVER GIVE YOU BACK A FULL HEAD OF HAIR so if you wanna spend £200 a year every year on something that won't help, go ahead. I didn't think I'd like having a bald head but I grew a decent beard, shaved my head, changed my life for the better and its cheaper!! Look outside when it's busy, bald people everywhere that don't care. What are you afraid of? (edited)

    Not too well informed in the matters of MPB but aren't Finasteride tablets the more effective route? You could probably grab a generic brand and it'll be around the same spend. Think you have to take it for life though and has potential sides.

    I read hair transplant patients are given Finasteride to maintain hair. (edited)

    Finasteride mostly maintains hair and can get good regrowth around the crown, but very unlikely helps around the temples i.e the receding areas.

    Minoxidil helps with regrowth and is best paired with finasteride.
