  • SAFE and SEALED: The Snap Seal technology is designed for an easy, one-handed drinking experience; when you’re done sipping, simply snap the lid closed for leak-proof protection anywhere you go
  • ICE COLD OR PIPING HOT: Thermalock double-wall vacuum insulation keeps temperatures locked in for hours; drinks stay hot up to 6 hours or cold up to 12 hours, on the go, in the office or outdoors
  • DURABLE: High-quality travel mug, BPA-free plastic lid and vacuum insulated stainless steel body; the sweat proof design makes sure your liquids stay in the bottle, not on the outside
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Dishwasher-safe lid hinges open completely for easy cleaning (one connected piece, no separate parts to take apart or misplace); hand wash vacuum flask body
  • IDEAL FIT: The thermal mug provides easy and convenient one-handed drinking for both left- and right-handed users, and fits most car cup-holders: Size 8.3x8x18.5 cm; Capacity 470 ml; Weight 275 g

SNAPSEAL TECHNOLOGY Convenient drinking & closing at the touch of a button - in every situation The SNAPSEAL lock allows easy drinking in any situation. The travel mug can be opened comfortably with one hand.

To drink, simply press the SNAPSEAL closure upwards, releasing the mouthpiece on the opposite side. To close the bottle, simply press the cap back down and the bottle is absolutely leak-proof.

100% sealed Absolutely leak-proof - no spillage As soon as the lid is screwed on, the bottle remains 100% leak-proof

When you have filled these up, shake them upside down as sometimes you might find the lid is screwed on tightly enough. The rubber O ring seal can also bulge out of the groove, which would also cause a leak.

Happened to two of ours. Which is why I will never return to these. Found mugs which don't use the o rings to be superior in leak control but harder to open to clean due to the pressure

£9 at Asda too atm.. I bought one 2 days ago from my local. It says 6 hrs for hot drinks but more like 3, then its luke warm. It doesn't leak so that's good and it's sturdy. Love the snapseal feature where I don't have to touch the bit where my lips touch
    gari189's avatar
    Yep - don't believe the hype - 2 to 3 hours, even with pre-heating.

Snap seal is very stiff to open with one hand. If you want one for the car, the Tefal/Emsa travel mugs are easier to use but more expensive.

Great mugs, well built. A word of warning though. This model ( the Byron) is too big to fit in most cup holders, check the dims of yours vs the mug.
If you like the look of it but want one for a normal car cup holder, check out the contigo westloop.
Note: I have a Byron, 3 or 4 westloops, and a few other contigo products. (edited)

As mentioned these have a tendency to leak when the o ring dislodges from the groove in the lid which is not fun to find out pouring your morning coffee in your lap once you’ve left for work… for the price they’re reasonable but if you need something more reliably leak proof look elsewhere as even being aware of the o ring issue I still get caught out occasionally
    Mugginz's avatar
Not had this issue so far but not used it so much. Contigo support very good in my experience. They might send you a new lid, maybe even revised it, who knows.

    Honestly.. I hate mine.

Keeps the drink hot for too long so have to wait at least an hour before it's drinkable.

Good quality cup though if it suits your needs

Keeping a hot drink hot for too long, what a gimmick by the manufacturer !

Reasonable price from the general standard price of these.
I did manage to get one of these in Tesco not so long back for approx £6 on Clubcard offer and Costco had a deal on with the buttons version for a twin pack approx £11

Expired as far as I can see. Lowest price now is £16. Shame

I have a couple of these and use them several times a week. Paid a similar price at Asda on offer and am very happy with them 6 months down the line.

I'm waiting for my current travel mug to break then might try a Contigo. Have to resist this

    Are the autoseal versions better?
    Mugginz's avatar
Yes. Imo, but depends when you will drink it. Driving? One handed? Will it fit in your car cup holder?
  12. Smfn53's avatar
It’s too hot to handle ?
    Mugginz's avatar
No, they are well insulated. Will be warm to the touch but not hot to handle. Can be super hot inside, just be careful to check, test, adjust for first sip carefully.
  13. phatbear's avatar
i have one of these and dont find it keeps things hot for that long, which is random because when i bought it it def kept things warmer for longer.
    Nom_De_Plume's avatar
Same here, whereas my Thermos Direct Drink keeps things at the heat of the sun for several days

I have one of these I mainly use it on Saturday Mornings when I'm stood on the touch line watching my son. Was brilliant except it used to burn your mouth like an hour after it was made, however now for some reason by the time I arrive at the touchline it's luke warm, don't know whats happened to it as it's in overall great condition ? basically it's just like one you pay a quid for now.

Why is it only this colour in offer? Got it last time in April'21 for this price, than June'22 the same deal and now again. Any other colours available below £10?

I have 2 but only paid £3.75 each at Christmas (Tesco clubcard deal) and theyre great for in the car narrow bottom so fit in cup holders securely and definitely keep my coffee warm for about 4hrs

Good deal. For anyone that’s interested TKMax have the 590ml version 2.0 in Juniper/stainless for £12.99 if you can find them. Amazon charge £19.60 for that model (edited)

These work perfectly, just don't tip them up with the cap off and you won't spill a drop. Got a load of them from Tesco when they had them for £3
  33. F_F22's avatar
One of the best travel mugs I’ve used. Had one for 4 years used 3/4 times a week and going strong
  34. chris91's avatar
How does this compare to the Contigo West?
  35. jlb107's avatar
Heat added. Been wanting one of these for some time but couldn't justify over £15. Gotta wait 2-3 weeks for delivery, but hey, I'm patient . Thanks for sharing
  36. deal14me's avatar
Brilliance. Had my current one for 6+ years, use it at least once a week and and still going strong 💪

Have three of these and well worth the money
    Hot tea added

I ordered one yesterday and just had the delivery date updated from 1-3 weeks to 18th January; so they probably have new stock in.

I have used my contigo Autoseal most days for a few years now. Never leaked on me once, still keeping drinks hot, love it.
Judging by the comments sounds like the Snapseal is a less reliable option.
