It is a fine balance. You are tempted to watch the coals at the top go white, but your right to say to take them out a little earlier.

Something_LikeAnonymous

The Weber one is larger. Which goes a long way.

Something_LikeAnonymous

I have one that I got from B&Q. Great invention. However, if you wish to spend a little more I would recommend the Weber one as it holds more coal.

Large versions of these currently going for roughly the same price as the smaller one, in certain colours.
Glesgabear

This is definitely only £10 in Tesco, I bought one about 10 days ago and they still had stock when I was in yesterday.

hedgyhog

For soups and stews I just use the normal version. The 1.2 litre version is £19.99 on Amazon: For soups and stews I use the normal version (1.2 litres) which can be had in various colours on Amazon for £19.99: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B075VD6HMG/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1&th=1 I guess some (chunky) foods will not fit in that version. I don't really like using the cups or "bowls" that come on flasks though.

I can attest to the same, the handles will fall off the skewers if they get anywhere near a picture of a bbq. But for the price everything else aint bad and it comes in a nice little box. Although it might just be me but the tongs do take a lot of pressure to use, and take it from me i'm not exactly weak in the wrist hehe. (strong)

ukhotdeals.

I used this exact set the spikes feel apart and the handles fell off ...

Joshua4378

Who can blame them for not thinking BBQs might get hot (lol)

zegermans

I bought one of these in store last week. For the price, it's great. My only criticism is of the skewers - when they got hot the glue holding the handles on melted. I use them without the handles now and they're fine.

If you're nearer a morrisons, you can get an older style Thermocafe food flask for £4.50 at the moment. HUKD have taken my thread down about it, but may be helpful for those who have Morrisons nearby rather than a Tesco, and are keyworkers for who a flask is an essential item. They've been spotted at more than one morrisons nationwide.

r_macus

I picked mine up and give it the trail run. Well made and good mug. But I can see down the line there is a lot of parts and assembly in the lid. This might be a problem down the line like what happened to my Camelbak forge. My best travel mug so far after tring lots is the Contigo byron from tesco.

myr4

A steal at £10 for the food flask. I have three of these. My children take hot lunches to school in them. Can't recommend enough.

lasuil

Is the warranty direct with Thermos rather than Tesco?

those manufacturers should be fined if we can't use it for more than 2 summers - more rubbish clogging the environment. These are jokes! No less!

Upthehattets

I was thinking the same

rok263

It will be a bit of challenge for two people to build this, particularly when you reach the stage of lifting the sides up after building the roof section, 3 people would be ideal as there’s 3 poles each side , but you’ll get away with 2 at a push. As for timing it would probably take 30 minutes or so once you are used to it. If you can colour coordinate the poles with a wrap of electrical tape, so you have the poles that are supposed to interlock with the same colour tape at each end that will help speed up the build process, that definitely helps the folks in the charity org that I’m involved with, when we build our party tents at our various fund raising functions.

They work well, but you don't have much control. Break the slabs into several small chunks for more heat, use a single small chunk for low heat. And they are rather messy for your pans (though nowhere near as bad as cooking on wood). I use one of these as a backup secondary cooker for use with my gas-powered Trangia when camping.

The controlled pouring lids on these things can get very dirty and mouldy very quickly if you use these flasks for anything but water as the mechanism is really hard to take apart and clean. For a few extra pounds I'd opt for this one with the fully screw off controlled pourer as it is 1000% easier to keep clean https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000TAOWC8/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_IzUNEbA2QXG5M

Well If I order a certain colour I kinda expect that colour and I paid more to get the blue one. So I'll be returning it so yes it's a pain in the ass when they mess up your order. So yes I for one give a monkeys. And i think others have a right to give a monkeys or not too (y)

WeeWifie

We don't have a dishwasher... Let's say none of them lasted long. Got all manky inside... And it was only used for water or diluting juice. I'd only use one of these now if it was water only... And given to me for free. They ain't easy to drink from either.

Who gives a monkeys what the colour is as long as it hydrates them?
