Would this drill into a steal or concrete lintel above a window?

I have used a buget SDS for drilling into above window lintel for curtain rod brackets. Excellent for this job where the hammer drill failed. For steel, you can't use the SDS function, only the normal drilling action. along with constant drill tip cooling, otherwise it will blunt.

How does this compare to the Screwfix titan SDS hammer drill? Thanks in advance.

Budget drill vs Budget drill. Both with similar specification, however the Duratool weighs in at 7.5kg and the Titan at 5.9kg,

1500w is mega. Will be overkill for 99% of jobs around the home. Nice to have the power through.

Yes not for your normal wood/plasterbord drilling. Wattage power is converted into a high torque, just what you need for concrete, stone or brick drilling. One has to be mindfull when drilling with larg bore bits, in the case of where the drill bit snags, the whiplash in the drill body could injury break your thumb/hand. Perhaps the other version of 900watts may be suitable. Always as other SDS drills, practice to safely handling of the machine when drilling

Just received my order and it is completely the wrong item. Just called the customer service to do a return as I didn’t receive the hammer drill. Got a HDMI Auto Switch in the box.
The team told me it was an error and they need to check with the warehouse to why this has happened.

Drills of this weight soon become a pain for protracted periods when not drilling downwards .

If you really don't need the power you would be better off with something lighter.

This is back in stock, including the 900w version. Are these reliable for one off odd jobs? I need it to break concrete under the fence post and drill 50mm hole through brick and concrete block.
