Been waiting on a baretool deal on this drill (as have a couple of batteries from the Homebase nail gun deal pre-Xmas) but I'm not passing up the chance to pick up this lot for £80. Ordered & thanks.

Grabbed this for £68 and the recent Bauker deal (18v Drill 2x 1.5ah batteries) for £24. Should be set for life with my DIY usage

That’s with 2.0 Ah batteries, not 4.0 Ah as in this deal.

Good drill, imo, nothing to choose between this and the DeWalt equivalent (my Son-in-law has the DeWalt).

If this is on par with DeWalt, why is DeWalt so much more expensive? Dcd805 alone is £85 just for the body, and I won't mention 996. Genuine question. (edited)

Does anyone know if the batteries will fit the previous generation Fatmax drills and chargers from about 5 years ago?
    BenjaminDover99's avatar
    BenjaminDover99
Different format apparently. There may be an adapter out there somewhere.

I believe Stanley/Black and Decker also own DeWalt, so if they use similar parts in these as they do for the Dewalt drills, it should be a decent drill.

Great price, even if you were just after a couple of extra FatMax v20 batteries. (Range between £49-60 each, depending on retailer).

Bought this a couple of months ago, when was on offer for £99, combined with free extra battery (total 3) promotion from Stanley. (edited)

I just collected from my local Toolstation, we will see how it go.

The Bauker I bought on £35 deal survived only one battery charging and trip my fuse.

They were out of stock but back in now. I just grabbed one. Can't find anything similar with the same spec and price anywhere. Unless you go Chinese brand but you can't rely on the numbers of them.

Back in stock again for me too. Also BLC took £4 off so worked out £75. Can't find anything close to this spec in this price. Cheers OP

Cracking deal for a brushless drill/driver, dock and 2x batteries, from a reputable brand.

5% BLC discount is a pleasant bonus too.
