Fab hotel, good location not far from Ocho Rios and can get a local bus there if you feel brave enough make sure you organise a tour to glistening waters if you go such an amazing experience

Would not recommend Jamaica at all,you get hassled all the time for taxis, drugs, prostitutes etc.Made my holiday really stressful and I’ve never been back since.Sorry to say but the locals seem to have an attitude of give us your money then F off out my country. My opinion obviously, jerk chicken was really nice as well as sunsets at Ricks cafe.

I have stayed here, granted it was around 15 years ago, but I wouldn’t go back.

Felt tired then and it doesn’t look like it has improved much. Food was pretty dire too.

If you like drugs it’s ideal, never been offered so many before, all by the hotel staff. (edited)

Lovely hotel, quieter, not as posh as some of the bigger hotels but I would go again ......I went there a few years back.

Travelled a bit around Jamaica. My least favourite Caribbean island so far. Unfortunately the reputation of it being unsafe for tourists outside of the hotels means the locals struggle to sell. This means that when they do see a tourist they tend to pounce and be a bit borderline aggressive. Said tourists then convey this to others which in turn perpetuates the problem; a vicious cycle.

Drugs are offered, but a simple “I don’t smoke” tends to work. But you will get hassled and like anywhere on the planet, there are certain areas to avoid.

I’d rather go back to Barbados, St Lucia or Antigua.

I've been to Jamaica and it's amazing. Hired a car, drove from Negril to Ocho Rios. Used their route taxi's to as far as Oracabessa & Boston Bay with no issues. Kingston is probably best left alone though.
Yes, if you leave resort, vendors will try to sell you various souvenirs (or other) but a simple 'no thank you' does the trick.
Jamaica has so many beautiful places to see, sunsets at Negril, Dunn's River Falls, Glistening Waters in Falmouth.
Great price for a fantastic destination!
