Doubt it at this bargain rate

Subsidised by the ridiculous prices being charged during school holidays. We’ve booked 2 weeks in Greece for the same price as a UK caravan.

Weve gone for two weeks in France, works out a few hundred cheaper than 10 days in Cornwall we did last year.

We stayed at the main Woolacoombe holiday park a few years ago & would highly recommend, although its very steep if you have mobility issues. There is lots on site to keep you entertained, inc a pool, crazy golf, they even give you a free spa session per adult. You can take a bus to the other sites or walk (long walk through a field, but was nice, but very steep) Twitchen House, in my opinion wasn't as nice & seemed to have a lot more families with hundreds of kids screaming around the complex whilst the adults seemed to be drinking at 10.30am ignoring them.

yes l remember the walk well! We went during covid years and there was no bus. The kids moaned every time but l was too stingy to drive and pay parking!

My first fumble was in a static caravan in 1985.

Interestingly the same caravan is £852 in the school holidays

Not a caravan holiday without tiny cereal packets, always the ones nobody wants

🔥 Lovely location for both parks.. and a bargain. Imo there's going to be a lot of deals for UK holidays this year, especially caravan parks. Haven are also offering good prices for early season. Many people are returning to foreign holidays, it's going to leave excess supply.

Tbf haven holidays are ok if you like being packed in like sardines and have a bunch of kids otherwise it’s not good .

Wowzer ... many many years ago we went camping at a nearby site and every time we drove past Twitchen camp site, I would twitch .. thinking it was hilarious every time. the kids weren't too sure after seeing it 20+ times

lol, I found it funny but you'll only know how much they appreciated it based on the care home they put you in....let us know

We’ve stayed in two of Woolacombe’s sites. Last time was last April, and apart from the entertainment for the little one it wasn’t that great. It was the beginning of the season so appreciate there could be teething problems. Plus there was a late night fight at the bar which we heard, as was so close.

The caravan was pretty average to be honest. Not easy to keep warm, no wifi available despite being less than 10m from one of the main buildings (even though we were told it’d get better once we’d purchased a wifi package 🤥).

I am fairly prejudiced mind you and so probably quite bitter and emotional, as it was the last family holiday we had with my old dear who had to leave early with my old man two days in and it was the last time we saw her.

I love Devon to bits, but sadly wouldn’t stay at again for various reasons.

I am looking for a dog friendly place for a week in April. But the crazy part is that I want to commute to work every night. Maybe 2 hours by train to London. Has anyone done that? I am self employed and I don't want to lose a week's wages.
If you know any seaside caravan places please let me know.
    Thanks (edited)
