    I’ve had 5 pairs of various gortex Salomon styles. All very comfortable but only 1 pair was fully waterproof. So I bought a pair of Adidas terrex R2 swift gortex for £60 on Amazon. Which are fully waterproof. Salmon are slightly more comfortable but Adidias has a less bendy sole. Always unsure wether to risk buying another pair of Salomon

    I've not had any issues at all with my Ultra 3 GTX. Had them for 3 years and they're still fully waterproof with the soles starting to break away.

    I just returned the Terrex R3 Swift as they advertise as true to size but were small and weren't available at a good price in a 1/2 size. I agree the soles are stiffer and not as comfortable as the Solomon's

    Literally wearing a pair of these now. Super comfy for long hikes but equally good for the daily dog walk. Have had no issues with water ingress or build quality.

    So good that I’ve bought a second pair to leave in the car boot so I never forget them.

    Worthwhile remembering that go outdoors will price match and beat by 10% if you have one local to you. (edited)
